There are some drugs so expensive it would be worth traveling to a country like India to get treatment. Of course, buying the drugs and having them shipped here is something people are doing frequently.

 

The purpose is for Canadians to declare, if you do, they take the form and say welcome home. If you don't declare and you get caught, they ain't so friendly. And if you have contraband not personal stuff and you're caught - wham - 100%.

Because taxation here is terrible. A product made here in Quebec - let's say a hockey stick - will cost more in Quebec than it does in the US, and quite noticeably. Many here near the US border are frequent casual shoppers, and some buy whole automobile stocks too, to sell in the used car market. It's profiteable.

 

I don't see in which way this can be a concern of his - it's rather one the Canadian authorities, since they're they ones people try to fool.

If Trump is so concern about Canada, let him do something about all of these refugees who get to Canada after passing through the 'States, mmmhh?

 

I can empathize with this; To say that I supported Trump in 2016 would be an exagerration, but I disliked him less than HRC, who wore her Establishment Puppet's role with full knowledge and conscience. I looked like the slighlty excessive element which is going to rid us of the establishment, but in fact that was just Bannon's.

You can infer from that what you like and I can see how a Trump hater can cling to one line in a long off the cuff ramble to believe what you want but in the future you should give that exact quote instead of making up quotes as you earlier did as in this statement of yours.

Now as for what he meant by that I think when you are talking off teleprompter for an hour in a campaign style speech things don't always come out the way you intended but if you want to believe Trump thinks Canadians spending their money here is treating us horribly that's your choice. and if I showed up at a US border point of entry wearing a cannabis graphics on a T-shirt I can expect the same treatment...don't give border security on either side of the border cause for suspicion...

americans trying to bring guns into canada because they don't know better or they're smuggling guns to sell to our drug gangs is not an unusual occurrence, I've suspect more succeed than are caught...

never underestimate the stupidity of people, it should obvious you can't cross any international border armed but every year many people do...

we have canadians banned for life from entering the USA for admitting they have smoked cannabis when questioned by US border services, not smuggling merely admitting they smoked at sometime in their life...even though it's now legal in many US states...

but that was a lie...I don't pay a tariff when I shop in the US, even my amazon or ebay purchases from the US are often tariff free...I'll can pay GST on any item but that's done at random on products over $100(not sure on the exact amount) most times I don't even pay that, and the GST is applied to everything even canadian made products so it's not a tariff...and border security can charge me a processing fee if it's shipped to me but that's also not a tariff, if I carry it in there is no processing fee...
