No let us see if Democrats understand the value of compromise. It's the way the system is designed to work.

So he is willing to give back everything he already took out of hate for a wall of hate... Brilliant... Like I said, nothing wrong with a wall, it is about how you go about it.
He put all these immigrants in this situation, now he is offering to democrats, to UNDO what he did for 5.7B while 50T short on SS, 22T deficit, and so on. What a joke we are to the world. How can republicans and most democrats, Pelosi type ignore the fact that we are in a financial desperate situation and here we are, doing a PR on wall money.

    Just pathetic !!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!1

So the plan is much of what has been said before, money for ports, more personnel, and border barriers the Border Patrol have requested, and the compromise is a 3 year delay for DACA and TPS. An offer to meet weekly with leaders to pound out real immigration reform.

Something new was more teams of judges to hack through the almost 900,000 asylum cases waiting for a hearing.

Nope. Dismissed even before Trump has started.

    Actually yes.

This is a failure of Trump as negotiator all the way around. Trump is now negotiating with himself since he Democrats have tuned out. The pressure is on him, not the Democrats, and he's offering a ridiculous concession. I was hoping he had some grand strategy but it's obvious that Trump is losing this.

Luckily the Democrats are contemptuous of this deal, since a trade of DACA for a mere 5 billion start up money is a terrible trade.

Well... here's what I would suggest: 3 years of protected status for DACA and the other group for 3 years of a wall..

After 3 years, we start all over again on both topics...

There different degrees of "pathetic". Not long ago, we approved $867 BILLION DOLLARS for a "farm bill" for 10 years, where 80% is going to be spent on SNAP -- better known as "FOOD STAMPS"!

Nobody knows yet what the radical Democrats are going to do, but even if they "agree" to anything, Trump had better make absolutely CERTAIN that iron-clad measures are put in place to force the Democrats to keep their commitments. Many of us 'older' people remember clearly when President Ronald Reagan thought he had promises and pledges from Democrats to end the illegal alien problems back in the 1980's, but the Democrats lied, and refused to honor their word. And that's part of why we are where we are today....

Looks like you are the wrong topic their Einstein.
It's a good offer and if the Democrats continue their dogmatic obstinance, then Trump is going to have to start issuing emergency orders to continue essential functions, so, I think it was important for Trump to put forward a very fair offer to reopen the government, first.

So, when are the "Tweedledum and Tweedledee" dynamic-duo team of Schumer and Pelosi going to respond? Anybody know?

    It's a terrible offer.

You might be able to argue that it's something if Trump were getting the whole 25 billion for the wall, but just the 5 billion? In exchange for DACA, TPS, and Dreamers? This sounds like a Lindsay Graham "compromise." Next thing you know Trump will be offering Amnesty for 11 million in exchange for 2 billion on the wall.

It's pretty clear, at least to me, that Trump is on the losing end of this.

It's something new... I'll give him that.... It's unlikely to go anywhere, but it was something I hadn't heard before... Unfortunately, he's offering fixes for the problems he made...

Trumps proposals seemed very bi partisan and beneficial.

Is Pelosi vacationing at some resort right now?

While 80 percent of women/children are raped trying to come here?

It's a good offer??? There are two MAJOR problems that I see immediately without even thinking about this.

    1. Trump is trying to be a dictator on this. He came up with it all by his little self with NO NEGOTIATION with Democrats, and to get Democrats' buy-in, it needs to be a negotiated deal.

    2. Send asylum seekers back to their own country to apply for immigration status from there????? LOL!!!! They ran from life-threatening situations in most cases, and he thinks their government will sit back and left them apply for immigration status from there? He really is that stupid, isn't he.

Oh, and BTW, his "worry" about rapists, drug dealers, and other criminals flooding the border is bullshit. Statistics say such attempts to enter the country are DOWN.

I agree, it's a non starter. It's hard to believe but right now, Ann Coulter and Nancy Pelosi are on the same page - both are against Trump's "proposal", for different reasons of course ;).......

lol, yea he's a moron. Pelosi must be literally laughing out loud right now. What a clownish stooge trump is.

He's taking the brunt of this crap that he created...and Pelosi doesn't fear that fat racist...she fears her own caucus and Democratic voters who put that Congress there for a very specific reason.

The news media should stop putting his repetitive moronic crap on the airwaves....no decent American wants to hear Putin's gimp spouting racist crap.

The President has now made an offer that includes some things Democrats have wanted in exchange for funding a wall or barrier on some parts of the border. Democrats say it’s a non-starter.

Will democrats just go on another tropical vacation with lobbyists instead?

Just think of all those racist democrats that voted for 700 miles of wall. Ah, the hypocrisy is thick.

And what I hope happens to DACA, is they go to the very end of the line for citizenship
