Trump says he’ll make ‘major announcement’ Saturday about partial shutdown, border ‘crisis’

Every day that passes we see more and more that leftists actually feel that a wall is "immoral". They have NO interest in protecting our country from the invading horde.

 

I am disappointed. I was told to expect to be triggered. Only thing I felt triggered to do was laugh at MAGA's lame non-starter.

He needs to give up hoping to please Ann Coulter and the minority of Americans who think, despite the obvious, that a coast-to-coast border wall is a good idea, even if we're all expected to foot the bill despite MAGA's vehement and repeated promises about who would pay for it.

 

I guess "leftists" just aren't deluded enough to accept the "invading horde" lie. Too bad for MAGA.

 

And so right here, where it's easy for all of us to see, is the throbbing heart of today's radical Democrat-ism. No negotiation, no compromise, no solution is agreeable to them except for obedience to their fairylandish concepts of no borders, no immigration restrictions, no law enforcement, and no need for citizenship. Many thanks for the candor.... Would I be correct in guessing that you live in a "Sanctuary City"... probably in a "Sanctuary State"...?

So you would rather remain obtuse about it and try to make a gotcha moment out of rather that get the government workers back to work and a plan in place so the DACA kids are protected until a full comprehensive plan be worked out? Is that really more important to you?

 

Why don't you stop trying to point fingers about the past and support a solution? And it's $3.4B more than the Democrats have offered which .009% of the budget

 

They did before he even announced his new offer and not counter offer can be expected. The shutdown is in their court now they are the only ones keeping it closed. Maybe enough Democrats will get some sense and support this compromise. It puts everyone on the path they want to go down.

 

What specifically is your opposition, this protects the DACA kids for three years so plenty of time for a comprehensive solution, the funding for the border protection the Democrats have called for, more border agents, and the physical barriers we need.

If Pelosi still refuses to negotiate, she gets NOTHING.

She's an irresponsible ideologue.

 

Trump is trying to compromise, offering up something the dems want. But any barrier is just immoral, which is the most stupid statement ever to come from the democrat, Pelosi, more recently.

And yet I keep hearing that most democrats voted for more barriers in the past, but like the GOP just will not fund it. ha ha These jack wagons are playing political games, in a most irresponsible fashion.

When trump is the most responsible person in the room, we got big problems. ha ha

 

But it will be the best we can get. Eventually the DACA kids will have a permanent solution and that will include their path to citizenship like anyone else. We also start shoring up the borders physically and electronically and more agents. Both sides have to compromise.

I heard Swalwell this morning say that on the one hand walls and barriers are immoral except the ones that protect in his state.

 

America wants the wall. The frothing left will have to deal with it.

That's what negotiating is all about. It's an exchange of positions as two sides get closer and closer.

Now Nancy needs to respond with, "Let the DACA's become citizens and we'll agree to the rest".

But she won't do it. She doesn't want a deal. She loves the status quo.

 

You want to keep the government closed while that comprehensive plan gets negotiated leaving them in danger of being deport. That's crazy, they get three more years protection while that can be worked out. Permanent is not going to happen over night that will take a lot of committee action and writing the bills. Pass this and the government gets open, TPS gets extended and we get an addition $3.4B in physical barriers. You would turn that down all for $3.4B just so you can think you got Trump over something?

Hey ball in the Democrats court accept it or make a counter offer.

 

I hope Trump doesn't cave! But, I want employees to be paid next week. Don't care where the money comes from but hope it is from house and senate pay.
