Well put. The more information at our finger tips, it seems the less we collectively know. It is so easy to spread propaganda, half truths, misleading information, or opinion as fact these days that truth becomes ever elusive to suss out on anything remotely contentious. Back when there were only 3 channels, there was less information, but far less disinformation. Now everyone can just gravitate to whatever reinforces their existing beliefs. It has made me wonder if we need to return to something like the FCC fairness doctrine, despite my normal inclinations for near total free speech.
That's a very tough choice. Lately i am thinking, as a species we must either evolve to a pure socialist society or become extinct trying. We are a long long way off.
All Mueller proved was that the former KGB, probably still the premier Spy and Cyberwarfare experts that exist, was good at covering its tracks. People who expect anyone familiar with Trump's longstanding connections to Russia and the known extent of Russian interference to believe for a second that Russia did not have a substantive and probably determinative effect on the 2016 election, all done with Trump's full collusion, knowledge and cooperation; truly strain credulity at the insulting lack of intelligence they assign to the American public No, it was Trump's stupidity that nearly blew the whole thing, We would probably not have even an inkling of the entire affair if someone of normal intelligence, (or sanity really) had been its major instrument and beneficiary. Then again it must not be easy to find someone who will sell out his own country so easily
I disagree, we have good lives right now, they could be much better or they could be much worse. That's pretty much the way it always is but now we have a bunch that wants to make them much worse for everyone but a very small cadre and they seem a good deal stronger than they're normally allowed to be because a lot of people seem to be caught up in this idea of let's kill or enslave everybody who isn't us (Blut und Ehre) Anyway I don't think pure Socialism works. Pure Capitalism doesn't either. This is why in the real world both are, to paraphrase Ayn Rand, Unknown Ideals.
I think I'm being overly literal here, I believe MM knows that "pure" socialism isn't workable, but I think we only need a little more, not a whole lot. It shouldn't be the dominant element of the economy, that doesn't work. Even Bernie has gone out of his way to say he is a "Democratic" Socialist, by which I think he means he is actually what Europeans call a Social Democrat. He believes in Capitalism and private property but he tempers it with socialism where socialism works and makes sense. He wants socialism to benefit the poor and middle class whereas Republicans want us to continue to have socialism which benefits mainly the rich and ultra-rich.
Let me know when you can find one single Trump initiative to punish Russia. Will wait while laughing.
The statement that I highlighted is conspiracy theory 101: The lack of evidence only shows just how deep the conspiracy goes.
Yes we have it good right now. That is the problem. We have it too good. We are complacent. I have come around to realize that we humans still need that old brain fight or flight instinct stimulation. We thrive when our base survival instincts kick in. When survival is no longer an issue we instead turn to creating conflict. That is why i say we need to evolve into a global socialist community. Pure socialism isn't workable at our current level of evolution. we are 100's of years away from being close. In order to even have a chance we must first overcome our inherent tribal instincts. No more blood and honor. I could well be wrong. This is a conclusion based my my near 70 years on this planet spent always observing, wondering, asking ... why do we do the things that we do?
Very good, but I will emphasis what attracted me most to him. Stop illegal immigration! I think that had been a deep seated underlying factor from the beginning. He has persisted in building the wall but even more importantly, he has put pressure on Mexico to stop these mass surges. We know if given 4 more years, illegal immigration will just be a small trickle. The move toward equal trade with China and other countries paying their fair share is another move that has set Trump apart from the globalist minded elite and Bernie.
Did you watch the SOTU? Did you see the barrage of "Socialism" bombs dropped by Trump? That was for Bernie. He is already salivating for those debates. Bernie can not even answer questions from his peers during the Dem debates about how he going to pay for his socialist utopia....How do you think that will go over with Trump?
Your criminal IMPOTUS just racked up $3 TRILLION in additional DEBT! He has ZERO CREDIBILITY when it comes to asking Bernie how he will pay for anything! But IF your criminal IMPOTUS is dumb enough to ask that question Bernie will tell him exactly how it will be paid for. Your criminal IMPOTUS is NOT going to like the answer!
Can you tone down the caps? It does nothing constructive at all. And "taxing the rich" is not a answer, it's a talking point. He might want to brng a it more detail than that. And sell 2 of his houses if he wants to not look like a fool preaching about excess wealth. Berine is the baseball player killing it in the minors who develops at superman myth. Then hits the majors and reality sets in. He is not ready for a Trump debate, Bernie can not control his temper and Trump knows it. He will push his buttons until Berni turns Crazy Bernie. Wait till moderate America see that. Keep this in mind, Trump wants Bernie to be the nominee, not the unknown mayor, the unknown senator, the old white guy, the rich guy with 100 skeletons in his closet or the crazy batty hag....he wants Bernie...why do you think that is?
Please continue to believe your assbackwards analogy. Bernie versus your criminal IMPOTUS is going to be educational. BTW I recommend that you do a little research into the baseball analogy that Chris Christie used about your criminal IMPOTUS and the 2020 debates.
I will continue to believe it, along with a huge number of liberals. It's odd that a very large popular surge of a liberal is not exciting the entire base, in fact instead of exciting them it's making them worry about November. That's odd huh?
