Some places have tried gun buybacks. Many people collect guns and they don't flip out and hurt others with guns.

Banning new sales will reduce these assault weapon type mass shootings. They need UBC to track private sales, gun registration and some sensible red flag laws.

What the hell do I have to do with gun violence in Chicago? I've never been to Chicago. I live in the country looking at horses out my back window and I don't need a gun to protect myself, we are civilized here. Unless someone brings in a gun, no one is getting shot on my property. I don't want guns on my property, I'm old and have 6 children/11 grandchildren. No guns = no getting shot.

 

Heavy usually gets it first. This boy doesn't look too bright. Law abiding citizens don't get pulled over for no reason. The cops knew this guy was trouble. Why they didn't do more when they could have is a question that needs to be asked.

Red flag laws are seriously dangerous to all of our rights and especially those guaranteed by the 2nd. It's a bridge too far, a dangerous precedent.

That did enter may thoughts as well. I give credit to first responders who do their job right. I don't think this was handled well.

 

He had a misdemeanor trespass on his record, so we all know that even more unconstitutional shadow registries wouldn't have stopped this. In fact nothing the gun grabbers want aside from full confiscation, would have done anything in this case...

 

What the F are you talking about. Chicago is run by Dims and has been for decades. What do you think prevents these Chicago Dims from having their police look for guns on the street?

 

Seth was obviously ticked at someone since he was packing a loaded gun. I'm sure that he intended to kill one or more specific people. The cops got in the way now 8 people are dead and more than 20 are wounded. The person or persons Seth had intended to kill are uninjured.

The incident shows that we can be killed or wounded at any time when we are out and about. Therefore, we should make sure that our wills are up to date and we write our obituaries so that we can seem like we were a great person. Our survivors can fill in the date we bite the dust.

I never said that they do not have a loaded weapon these guys were emulating a position of having a gun hammer cocked back while carrying to make it faster to shoot someone in a case of necessity. I said it was foolish to do as such and told them why....

 

Clearly if they are favoring infringements upon my rights they are gun grabbers, but I don't see the need for further separation...
