They say the country was founded on racism. They say systemic racism still exists. They say all Trump supporters are racist. Some say all White people are racists. So in a country full of White racists, why would any marketing campaign insult all the millions of White people the left says are racist and focus on such a small group of people? Aren't commercials supposed to be about making a product appealing to everyone?

Rather than me wasting my time trying to decipher this word salad with fecal dressing, let me restate my position. I'll make it very easy for you: When I said "They are a private company. They can say what they want," what I really meant is that THEY ARE A PRIVATE COMPANY AND CAN SAY WHAT THEY WANT.

    Stop making phony accusations.

Ad hominem fallacy. I am not the topic of this thread.

    Non sequitur.

You'll need to provide a rationally-related example for your facile argument to have any merit. Pointing this out is not a "deflection" as you falsely assert.

I didn't realize black people were not allowed to purchase vaseline before now.

I see you don't know what an ad hom is. And since you consider that a non sequitur I will no doubt see you in a thread that is about a white racist.

In the end, all of your posts taken together, its obvious to me that you don't consider racism against whites to be a problem. And that is the difference between me, an anti-racist, and you, a selective anti-racist.

Can you imagine if GM marketed to black people purple Cadillacs with big whitewalls?

LOL. Classic. responding to an ad hominem fallacy with, wait for it, an ad hominem fallacy! :roflol:

I have burned your feeble straw man to ground once already. Do not make me do it again.

Geez! Third ad hominem fallacy. You going for some kind or record here? And what you choose to call yourself is immaterial to the facts of this discussion, nor to my position, which is?

I don't have a problem with it. Went to their website to see exactly what they are talking about. They are promoting training dermatologists to better treat black and latino skin issues, promoting healthcare in underserved communities, etc. Quite frankly, I don't see why anybody would be upset with it as it it a good thing.

They made a racist commercial that promotes racial division. Rather than lose your mind and riot you choose to defend them.

If that's what the goal is, why the commercial with BLM shown several times, talking about how they are treated so horribly in this country, etc. You obviously watched a different commercial that what was posted here.

Wanna see the double standards of the left kick in? Watch this:

Hey libs, you see nothing wrong with marketing this product to blacks, but what if they marketed it to gays?

I watched the commercial. At the end of the commercial it refers you to their website that also has the commercial posted on it and has a page explaining what this initiative is all about. Black skin is different than white skin. That shouldn't be a shock to anyone. Poor communities have healthcare access issues. That shouldn't be a shock either. There is evidence of a lot of potential racial disparities within healthcare outcomes based on similarly situated races higher up the income brackets. Some have attributed this to medicines having been developed primarily using white subjects, doctors stereotyping some issues like higher blood pressures in blacks, particularly women, being just natural and normal, etc.

Nope, the commercial tells us how horribly white people have been to the black people, shows BLM several times. You can come up with all the supposed excuses you wish, but we are seeing what it's about. Whitey = bad. Black people need vaseline too and whitey has obviously been preventing them from buying it.

Vaseline was discovered at oil wells during drilling and workers learned it was a good medicine for burns and to help heal.

It's called marketing "justice". BLM is an anti-capitalism organization which wishes to destroy our capitalistic system. All the capitalist corporations are making big profits by juicing the trend while it's fashionable. It's a win for the capitalists in America, from sports to media to consumer products to left-wing politicians.

I stated a fact. They have a right to say what they want. The only thing I'm defending is free speech. I suspect we differ on this topic. That's fine. I think there are far more important issues to worry about at this point in our history than the way a company wishes to pander to an audience. But you are certainly free to be as outraged as you wish.

No one said they didn't have a right to say it. We said its unacceptable. Please stop stating the obvious it doesn't make you look intelligent. If you don't have anything to say about the content of what they have to say then you really don't have much to contribute to this thread

I don’t have an issue with the ad. There’s nothing inaccurate about it. It’s not offensive unless, of course, you’re offended by the truth.

Or accusations aimed at you for things you have no part of. I'm not a part of systemic racism. I'm not privileged. I'm not the source of black women's problem. I take offense when rich corporate fat cats, try to convince them that I am.

I can't for the life of me figure out why anyone would get triggered about a commercial.

Who cares? It's an ad for Vaseline. Yawn.

It's supposed to be a commercial for vaseline, but instead it's about BLM and mean white people who don't let the black people buy their vaseline. The commercial is racist and divisive.

Is that what the left does when they don't like something? LOL At least we aren't burning down cities and assaulting innocent people. We're just discussing it and you don't even like that.

I never said I didn't like it, I said I don't understand how folks can get triggered over an ad.
