Cross Check and the closing of 868 polls throughout the south in mostly minority areas is how she and the Democrats were cheated out of a fair election; http://www.gregpalast.com/sanders-and-jackson-join-hands-to-take-on-trumps-vote-thief-in-chief/

You could admit the depth of Hillary's documented lies and deceptions throughout her political career. She's arguably the most corrupt politician in modern US history. Still, you've asked incredulously what she did wrong, and it's been laid out for you in excruciating detail. Your response? To deflect and minimize. In other words, turn your back on reality.

You don't leave a lot of room for productive discussion.

And I'm not trying to be insulting or condescending, (though I will be plead to dismissive if I sense a hard-core Trumpista, some people simply can't be talked to, it's the same with the very religious which is why it's called the Trump Cult.)

Let's examine the facts of the matter. First, and often ignored but all-important, Trump got a minority of the popular vote, which means that, while he may be President, his AGENDA is not what the people wanted, the people wanted what Hillary was advocating but they didn't want Hillary.

Which means that Democrats DON'T have to re-examine our core beliefs, in fact the worst thing we can do now (and it's strange how all the conservatives say we should) is to suddenly adopt conservatism as our new guide, to turn on all the people that have supported us and who look to us now for support. That would be the typical weak-kneed and lily-livered Democratic response and it is precisely the opposite of what all the polls are showing. The more the public sees of Trumpism the less they like it. He is showing an overall approval of THIRTY-SIX PERCENT, an historical low and his Healthcare Plan, the vanguard of his ideology, is only strongly approved of by TWELVE percent of the population. You may say you don't believe in polls but if numbers like these are meaningless then WWII should have never been fought and we really enjoyed the Great Depression.

I'm looking for the present polls broken down by states right now, my contention is that if the election was held today Trump would lose badly even in most of the states he won.

However, if the election were to be held today we would all be damnably surprised as well, It isn't going to be but one will in 2018 and another in 2020. I don't think that we Dems are going to win either of them by offering up warmed over versions of policies that are failing already. People will say that if they are going to vote Republican they might as well do so, and not order up a stein full of Republican Lite.

The problem with the political system in this country has never been the political establishment unless of course you believe that the corruption of the system is somehow the fault of the politicians and not the fact that the structure allows money to control the political process . All electing Trump has done is eliminate the middle man and allow the wealthy to directly run the government.

Now if you are somehow credulous enough to believe that having a rich and probably corrupt family run the country directly without the need to buy politicians is somehow miraculously going to benefit the American people it would be interesting to hear your logic.

I could and have admitted the depth and breadth of the lies that are endlessly repeated about this most corrupt of all politicians who has never been convicted of a parking violation or even indicted for a major crime while one well-known paragon of Republican virtue who led the crusade to impeach her husband for consensual sex with a 21 year old woman is still serving time for the attempted rape of male HS students under his care. I have to almost admire the unmitigated gall of people who endlessly attacked a woman for three deaths which several separate and bipartisan Congressional committees said were not her fault while at the same time being responsible for an unnecessary war with the wrong country which took well over 10,000 American lives, cost several trillion dollars and continues to this day. I will agree that the panoply of lies and libels the conservatives have directed at Hillary was laid out and repeated in excruciating detail but just saying something over and over does not really make it true, Dr Goebbels notwithstanding,

"All important"? It's not even slightly important. It is, indeed, utterly irrelevant.

How so? How is he the most substantial threat to our way of life? Is he doing something that is unconstitutional?

How do you feel about politicians who push unconstitutional bills? Are they not a threat to our way of life?

What war are you referring to? The Iraq war? Well, Hillary voted yes to that. I wonder how many more excuses you can come up with for this . . . thing called Hillary?

This was a nice basket of deflections. Bringing in all kinds of juicy side action surrounding husband Bill was a nice touch. Referencing Benghazi but avoiding touching on her central role in the overt lie/deception about the Internet video being the trigger was smooth. Absolutely leaving out everything surrounding her rogue private server for conducting sensitive and classified government business was brilliant. In that vein, why would you want to spoil your theme and reference her lying under oath to congress regarding server activity? It certainly didn't fit your narrative to mention that Comey labeled Hillary unsophisticated and extremely careless in performing her duties. Of course there was no mention of the Clinton Foundation, where it's been proven there have many instances of pay-for-play.

Lack of "never been convicted of a parking violation or even indicted for a major crime" does not mean there shouldn't have been. You know that, but still roll out the same old tired talking points to the contrary. Everything I've stated is 100% true and verified, yet your denials continue. So you could admit the depth of Hillary's documented lies and deceptions throughout her political career, but you won't. It's still amazing to me to lengths people will go to in adhering to their extreme ideology.

You find this a lot on message boards. Lol. Message boards like this and others of course are going to attract a lot of "people", if you know what I mean. :D I never realized just how extreme some people are with their ideologies until I started posting on message boards. But this is the internet and the place where extremists go to spread their views, kind of like the weird guy in town who holds signs and preaches to you as you walk by, or even maybe talks to himself!

Just think, if Hillary was the POTUS, we could be going to war with Syria, or maybe Russia. Do you realize that the Russians had threatened to drop out of the nuclear treaty because of Hillary and her total screw ups and her awful foreign policy (or Obama's foreign policy - and also Hillary's).

And you are one of the problems, and not one of the solutions to government corruption.

Very good synopsis. It helps explain why fact based discussion is such a challenge. :)

I found it totally unbelievable when, during the election, Hillary insisted that Donald Trump "supported the war in Iraq" when he was not a politician and has no say in the matter, while she voted YES to the Iraq War herself! I mean really, Hillary? Really? Her supporters ate that up too! What a bad man for supporting the Iraq war, yet it was Hillary who had the power to vote yes or no.

Just FYI: the thread title was supposed to be "Was Hillary's Loss a Result of Campaigning Error", and not " ... Campaign in Error."

I've asked a mod to fix it.

The actual "wars" Hillary seemed to support were quick surgical air strikes, where no or very few American lives were lost the cost was relatively small and the situation was resolved fairly quickly. Not every one of these was successful. Libya is one good example, but overall it was a MUCH better record than the last Republican Secy State, who oversaw Iraq.

Trump's record on war is yet to be seen. If his actions vis-à-vis Korea are any indicator he does not seem that devoted to avoiding it.

As to the original topic, which we do seem to be getting rather away from. No, Hillary's loss was not caused by her campaigning errors. Hillary's loss was caused by the criminal activities of the Russians, supported, IMO, by the present occupant of the White House

No. Putin thanks you, Comrade. You're supporting Trump's signing our whole country over to him so as to help him "win" the "election"
The will of the people always is to tyrants, and Republicans, (but I repeat myself)

Yes, you repeat. Repeatedly. Apparently without having read the Constitution or the Federalist Papers.

"In The Federalist Papers, James Madison explained his views on the selection of the president and the Constitution. In Federalist No. 39, Madison argued the Constitution was designed to be a mixture of state-based and population-based government. Congress would have two houses: the state-based Senate and the population-based House of Representatives. Meanwhile, the president would be elected by a mixture of the two modes."

The Founding Father's were not tyrants.
