We're not far behind. In most states, tobacco is getting pretty much illegal to use outside of your home or bars or outside. It's also getting really expensive. It's over $5 a pack for generic cigarettes, here in FL.

If such were the case there would not be approximately thirty thousand firearm-related deaths in the united states each year. With the countless restrictions currently in place at both the federal and state level, that number should be next to zero if they did indeed work, and did indeed save lives. Such is not happening, so such does not work.

Again, proof that it is NOT about saving lives, since Tobacco its various forms claims half a Million lives every year, and the Tobacco lobby and the Politicians the Tobacco lobby funds and gets elected as well as Billions in Tax revenues, make it very difficult.

There is no redeeming qualities to Tobacco, it is not a medication or food or drink, it does not taste good, unless flavors are added, yet people will pay high prices for it.

Children become addicted to Tobacco / Nicotine and are harmed and killed too.

You opened the door to that, by claiming it is about saving lives when it is not, it is about Gun Control, that does not save lives.

You can save many lives by educating people about Tobacco, if indeed, you cared about saving lives.

If better restrictions are indeed needed, then it is a false claim that firearm-related restrictions save lives, as the only restrictions in place are wholly inadequate for doing such.

Then you are admitting of your own volition to engaging in intellectual dishonesty by claiming that firearm-related restrictions save lives.

While simultaneously admitting that current firearm-related restrictions are inadequate for doing such.

Only one statement being made by yourself can be regarded as factually correct. Either firearm-related restrictions work at saving lives as they are, or they do not and better restrictions are needed. It is one or the other, it cannot be both. Pick the position that best fits the narrative being presented by yourself, and stick with it.

A lack of consistency is an indicator of lacking a valid position, and simply looking to engage in arguing for the sake of arguing. In other words, a lack of legitimacy in being present.

Pray tell where is the lack of consistency on my part? Where has such been demonstrated?

You ask for details of a plan to reduce gun deaths but fail to provide your own. Do you want to reduce gun deaths? Perhaps you want them to increase. Is that it?

Such is being cited as the grounds for an accusation of inconsistency on the part of myself?

In the currently ten thousand posts that have been made by myself, it has long been maintained that there are no firearm-related restrictions which can reduce the number of firearm-related deaths in the united states, be they either homicide or suicide in nature. No plan has been presented by myself, because no proposal would have the supposedly desired outcome. As such there is no use in proposing what is already known will be a failure.

Try backing up the claims being made by yourself with actual citations and explanations when questioned as to what vague terms actually mean.
