No, it isn't. It's about corrupting the Constitution and undermining political liberty.

No, because Gun Control cannot save lives.
Gun Control has never saved lives.
Gun Control only affects those People that never harm anyone or commit crimes.

What does save lives is the Prosecution of Criminals, not for simple paperwork violations or sins of omission, but for crimes or sins of commission.

If this is true then what do you think of my proposal at post #33 in this thread?

Should we start trying to save lives or do we keep arguing about guns?

Let me know your thoughts and what you are personally doing to save lives. I'm always looking for more folks to get on board with suicide prevention training.

Incorrect. It is about having some basis of trying to punish the offender after the fact, after the life has already been lost.

just the lives of criminals. gun control is intended to pretend left wing politicians are doing something to placate the masses while not upsetting the criminal class nor their supporters. On top of that, gun control harasses groups of voters least likely to support those same left wing politicians

If this is true then I refer you back to the earlier question I asked you:

    So. What say you?

and it has been explained to you multiple times that the gun reforms were never intended to affect the crime rate itself

Then why impose them, and why claim that "they worked in Australia"?

Ahhhh, now we have the real dirt !

Same as what George Soros and his lap dog Rebecca Peters want for America, gun, good ole Australian gun control, as bad as a can of Foster's Ale is here in America, please keep both on home soil.

Remember what former Surgeon General C. Everett Koop said about Patient's expectations of
    Healthcare ???

"C. Everett Koop, former Surgeon General, said that Americans want the best, the cheapest and the fastest medicine in the world.
Unfortunately, at any given time, only two of three superlatives are possible.

We cannot have it all, although industries (e.g., drug companies) have flourished by feeding into our expectations. At least part of the malpractice crisis -- and it is a crisis -- stems from unrealistic expectations of patients.

In this system, patients become confused and then angry, and they aim their dissatisfaction toward the very professionals who have dedicated their lives (school until at least age 29) to helping patients."

Yes, blame patients that want help.

It is failing to save a sufficient amount to qualify the expense of the endeavor as being a success. Even with drastic reforms, the number that may potentially be saved is estimated at being a mere one thousand seven hundred. Therefore it is a failure, and not delivering as promised.

Repeating failures on larger scales does not make them a success.

Firearm-related restrictions are the failure that is being referred to.
