Well, I don't want war but frankly I think we have to draw a line in the sand and give Mr Putin a bloody nose. So, Operation Charlie Wilson's War 2 is my favoured option.

I really doubt it? Looks like no one wants to play, maybe this is the bike sheds at the nuclear plant.

Lol tough guy where will you be when that happens and you volunteer other people to die for you.

The days of conventional war with a country the size of China are over. That ended with nuclear weapons and the sheer size of its population which would assure no one could win a war with them even if they wanted to.

More to the point the war with China is already being fought and its both a trade and cyber war. Try pay attention.

I'd use a hyper version of The Magnitsky Act and go after and freeze/seize all that Vlad and his mafia own. In addition, support Uk in all ways possible without physical troops.

I would support war. Not a war to invade Russia but ground troops in Ukraine would be fine. But if they touch our soil then we touch theirs

I think, in our day and age, we shouldn't need physical 'might'. Financial sanctions such as the ones proposed should hurt Putin and his buddies. But if all else fails, I think we should support Ukraine by supplying any needed arms so that they can defend themselves.

~ To those who actually do pay attention the real war is the US government against the Constitution, Bill of Rights and the American citizens . Trade/cyber wars are old news ...

None of our business. We shouldn't have expanded NATO nor supported the coup in 2014.

Not saying the comparison is there but remember-Hitler only wanted a little bit of land…what’s so wrong about wanting a little bit of land?

I’m sure Europeans and their leaders are thinking more or less the same thing.

Defense does not win wars. We learned that in Vietnam. If you're going to fight, don't tie your hands behind your back. Fight to win, do not fight to keep fighting.

I would not support war at least to start with. I would support something akin to lend-lease. Putin appears to be a fascist.

Ukraine is 5,000 miles and an ocean away from the U. S.

Also, for hundreds of years, this whole thing has really been a 'family' matter between Russia and what came to be known as "Ukraine" in 1917. Let THEM hash this whole thing out between themselves and, just for once, MIND OUR OWN DAMNED BUSINESS!

Sanctions on Russia could really hurt Russia now. They could be especially hard hit if we did something to their oil sales and we could since we have plenty right now.

The thing is there seems no REAL reason for this. Ukrainians speak Russian and see themselves as Russians, historically and culturally. My understanding is they are the originals, the descendants of the old Rus/Vikings

Do people really kill each other over this stupid bullshit any more?

And lots of VODKA! I think Russians were less aggravated and unhappy back when Russia was sarcastically referred to as the biggest population of drunks in the world.

Funny enough, Vodka was actually invented in Poland, and the old Polish Wyborowa brand is still considered by many to be better than the better-known Russian 'Stoly'....

The old culture of the Byzantine Empire was projected through Kiev, and from there into 'Muscovy', and throughout what would be European Russia.

These people need to FIX this thing among THEMSELVES! And, from way across the planet, we Americans need to stay the hell out of it and deal with our own problems!
