It's not an "evil" word to me, but it does have a specific meaning that you were not able to address.

If your argument boils down to "diversity" is just a synonym for "talent," than I think we're done here. All you've demonstrated is that the word diversity is so ingrained into your ideology that you will change the meaning to make the argument that it's a positive good, in and of itself without any conditions.

If you say so. I was talking about merit based immigration, which US has engaged in from Day-1. Does is create "diversity"? Yes, and it created the best nation in the world. I have given many examples, so I won't bother to repeat it. The word offends people because they see it being synonymous with illegal immigration, or muslims and nothing else. There are pros and cons to everything, but natural born pessimists are always 100% focused on the negative (as you can see on this thread).

Can "merit based" go too far? Yes, there are companies in US where 90+% of employees are from India. I have experienced it. They do hire Americans, but they quit within months because they have no tolerance for the sweatshop mentality.

Another great thing diversity does is that it puts Americans on opposite sides of most conflicts around the world, since we have populations from all over the world who tribalistically support whatever atrocity their side commits.

For sure and there are still Palestinians who support Hamas. Lots of them. But I don't think there is universal "content" with Hamas. A lot of Palestinians hate and fear them.

Yes Iran is smart enough to let others do their dirty work. They will continue to do this until someone stops them. It certainly will not be the current administration that does that.

I think the possession of nuclear weapons is over rated. Using them results in regime change and they know it.

 

Biden has the authority to close the border right now. No deal required. He doesn't want to close the border. He wants all the illegal immigrants he can get. Certainly you can see that.
