Dude Biden doesn't know morning, noon, or night, or who he spoke to ten minutes ago. And as far as honest brokers don't make me laugh. The Dems are the quintessential party of "I'll gladly pay you Tuesday for a hamburger today." Unfortunately the Democratic party calendar has no Tuesdays.

When people realize they can participate in a real, above-poverty, full-employment economy without negative outcomes for their own well-being, they will have the most powerful economy on the planet.

The Case for a Job Guarantee | Pavlina Tcherneva (pavlina-tcherneva.net)

"One of the most enduring ideas in economics is that unemployment is both unavoidable and necessary for the smooth functioning of the economy. This assumption has provided cover for the devastating social and economic costs of job insecurity. It is also false.

In this book, leading expert Pavlina R. Tcherneva challenges us to imagine a world where the phantom of unemployment is banished and anyone who seeks decent, living-wage work can find it – guaranteed."

Yeah, keep trying that angle. Makes you look desperate. The Dems could use a few more Senate seats.
You don't even know which party created larger deficits.

I’ve always found the “pay for themselves” mantra a little disingenuous. It almost argues against the idea of tax policy affecting the economy. Usually avocate of that mindset assume any economic gains that result would have occured anyway. I don’t think that’s the case. I do know that broad base rate reductions SEEM to create higher revenues.

There is to date zero evidence that lock downs have kept anyone alive, and much that they have cost lives.

    China: nation-wide severe lock-downs; death toll 4636.

Australia: nation-wide severe lock-downs; death toll <100 (about the same as China relative to population size).

The US: ad hoc (read "haphazard") uncoordinated lock-downs (across the nation), death toll > 520,000.

Europe: delayed lock-downs and opening up too soon: death toll c.800,000.

Er...the Dems want to eliminate poverty (even if they don't know how to do it...).

    The Repubs are content to:

    1. claim poverty cannot be eradicated, or
    2. it's the fault of those living in poverty.

Either way, who is "not caring about anybody but themselves"?

You didn't research tax revenue as a percent of gdp, did ya?

While you're at it, search also for Federal Government Spending as Percent of GDP Historical as well.

    It's a spending problem.

You are both missing the point re deficits and taxes , because you are both indoctrinated by orthodox neo-liberal economics and accept the TINA fallacy (.."There Is No Alternative"...)

The American Dream Is Alive and Well—in China | WEB OF DEBT BLOG (ellenbrown.com)

Guess how China poured more cement in 3 years (2010- 2013), than the US did in the entire 20th century (google it), built the world's most advanced and extensive high-speed rail network, and eradicated absolute poverty (via food, housing, health and education subsidization), in a population of 1.4 billion, including creating a middle class of 400 million people - more than the entire US population?

Poor old Mitch tied himself up in knots tonight.

"The Dem rescue package is far too large and will cause inflation. With vaccinations progressing, the economy was already coming out of recession and would have boomed even without the $1.9 trillion Dem package. And it will have nothing to do with the Dem. package".

Er... care to rephrase that, Mitch?

Btw for Conservatives who think lock-downs don't save lives: Brazil - the ultimate anti-lockdown nation (courtesy RW nut-job Bolsanaro) - just had its worst-ever day today, with 2200 deaths in 24 hours.

And as one commentator observed: Brazil is becoming a threat to global health, because new, more contagious variations of the virus arise in such uncontrolled conditions.

That record won't last long. You are assuming I approve of Trump's spending. You would be wrong. I know where the conservatives are not and that is in government.

‘NO SHAME’: GOP Senator Roasted For Praising COVID Relief Plan … He Voted Against

Hours after the House delivered President Biden’s first legislative victory by passing a $1.9 trillion COVID-19 relief package on Wednesday, Sen. Roger Wicker (R-MS) suddenly acted as though he did not vote against the plan last weekend alongside his fellow Republican senators — and was swiftly dragged by Twitter users for it.

In a Wednesday afternoon tweet, Wicker touted that the passage of the COVID-19 relief plan in Congress will deliver targeted relief to independent restaurant operators that have struggled amid the pandemic.

That assumes of course that you're stupid enough to believe anything China tells you about Carona virus... China's lies are almost entirely lock downs in the west were all a day late and a dollar short. Meanwhile on data we do know is accurate Florida with a much older population than most of the rest of the country eschewed lock downs and while doing what they could to protect the most vulnerable is no worse than middle of the pack. Meanwhile of the 15 states with the lowest per capita death toll most are states that eschewed Draconian lock downs.
