As for legalities - I believe that abortion should be like any other medical procedure - purely between the patient and the medical officer.

Oh, there is nothing wrong with getting CARE. If you are getting help from your doctor for health reasons during your pregnancy that's good. However if you are going to see a doctor about killing the human being inside you, I hardly call that care.
Those seeking abortions are not going to see about giving birth, or seeking care they are seeking to kill.

 

Abortion is healthcare whether you want to believe it or not. Having your pregnancy ended requires a skilled physician and medical care afterwards. It is a medical procedure and falls in the realm of healthcare.

If a woman is having emotional and mental difficulties she does not need to see an abortionist. She needs a psychologist, or someone who can help her with her state of mind. Having an operation to kill a person in the womb is not having an operation to get rid of an illness. The woman is normally fir and healthy, she just happens to be pregnant which is not an illness. Having an operation like this could cause more emotional and mental damage.
