You must realize by now when someone like you on the left makes an accusation that someone on the right is racist, it's as common as the sun rising in the east. Just a suggestion, but when you guys get all virtue signally maybe you could actually highlight the blasphemous passages so that at least we can all agree on what statements you are talking about, even if we don't agree to their intent.

Why did Europeans come to America? Why didn't they stay in Europe far away from the mean Native Americans?

Europeans came to America for all sorts of reasons. Many of the reasons are the same reasons people come to America today.

The word 'slave' comes from slav and slov, a reference to the slavic people in Eastern Europe. Yugoslavia, Slovenia, Czechoslovakia, etc. White folks, of course.

The first legal slave owner in what is now the US was a Black man named Anthony Johnson. Importantly, this was in British Colonial Virginia, not the USA. Want reparations? Talk to the Queen or Mr. Johnson's descendants.

Indentured servants and slaves are not the same thing.

Slavery has never been federally 'codified' in the USA.

The Emancipation Proclamation only freed the slaves in the South, not the North.

Only about 1.2% of the population owned slaves. Slave owners included Blacks, Indians and Whites.

The first black slaves brought over were not africans but spanish. Yes, Spain and Portugal at one time, before 1492 has a sizable black poppulation, much like americas ethnic demographics now.

Most "african americans" in north america are actually spanish or rather black spaniards/portuguese

 

Slavery and indentured human servitude were the norm at the founding of this nation. The US did not invent slavery, we ended it. Every advanced human society on earth engaged in slavery and forced human servitude.

My ancestors from Europe were not freemen, some wealthy land baron essentially owned them and their labor. I have seen the papers and written documents. I also have NA blood, from ancestors here in the US. So where is my reparations money?

 

Actually you white americans did invent Race Based Chattel Slavery or RBCS as its more widely known , the MOST barbaric form of slavery ever practiced.

 

Of course other people have suffered. But, Africans were singled out for chattel slavery.

 

By 1680 Anthoney Johnson's status as a Black man was reduced significantly. After Bacon's Rebellion laws were put into place to create a division between poor Whites and ALL Blacks. The elite wealthy Whites didn't want the poor Whites to join forces with Blacks and start another rebellion.
So, please stop with the "Anthony Johnson, Black slave owner story". Slavery was a race based institution in America. Whites were meant to be owners and Blacks were meant to be the slaves.
