London has about the same problem with Black crime that the U.S. does probably a legacy of slavery.

Realistic about what? The homicide rate? Oh yeah, lets look at riots. 100% Black. Typical

That's silly. Facts can indeed be used to paint an inaccurate picture of reality. They are manipulated in that manner regularly; specious BS is everywhere.

Well yea, did you even read the rest of my post. That's the point. Because they were impoverished upon their arrival, they developed a differing culture that doesn't value the same things white people do. For someone who has had the same experiences in the US for three generations and have nothing change with civil rights for another race, you just go on living. Climbing the social ladder. Three generations ago, you were still doing the same thing that you were doing now. Four generations ago abouts for blacks would have been slavery. Five generations ago (1850s - 1860s), your family had no job, no livelihood, no freedom, and was basically not a person. Suddenly, a war breaks out and you are freed from your bondage. You havent the work experience that any white person has. So you go into something you do have experience in. Picking cotton. Only now you get paid. Your children do too (1880s - 1890s). The next generation (around 1900s - 1920s) is poor, but still working to get any measly amount of money possible. So again, this generation goes into cotton picking too, but starts expanding into other unskilled labor work like in factories and even going to the military for WWII, where you would receive the same treatment as whites. Also there is an economic depression, so you go to build the Hoover Dam but have to now compete with a lot of white people for the job, and end up losing it to them. The next generation (1940s - 1960s) sees the prosperity of white people and decides that they will fight to have the same rights as them, after going to a black public school and seeing whites in a better school. Because you see, if a white person was doing their job, they'd receive more money. Also, you were not allowed to live in the same area or use the same things as white people, you had less quality everything. So the next generation (1970s - 1980s) gets a Jim Crow free life, and entrance into white schools. But they were already living in an all black neighborhood anyways. So the only thing that really happened for them is poor whites on the border got to go to their school. And so now you get to my generation (1990s - 2000s). The "black neighborhood" "white neighborhood" thing is starting to fade. Although it still exists. Black areas that used to be segregated because of Jim Crow laws are now poorer than white areas. Black schools have less money and less quality education that white schools. Blacks born in my generation or my parents' generation have started to go into skilled labor like doctors and lawyers and such, but still receive discriminations and are usually less qualified for the job. You said it yourself. African American inner city versus White suburbs. The white suburbs have more money, better schools, and simply a better chance. Not to mention that, in the last five generations, conditions for white people have been the exact same way. It's not to say that blacks are simply inferior or lazy, their circumstances are vastly different than whites. They have more money now, but still don't compare to whites. And if your family has been in unskilled labor for five generations and you dont have the money to get education, youre not really going to value higher education because it hasn't even crossed your mind as a possibility.

In some cases you are right, but this is not one of them. The facts are very clear in this case.

There are two sides to every coin. You say the system targets blacks disproportionately more, but that is only half a statement. It leaves the question of "why" unanswered. Is it that blacks are found guilty of crimes they didn't commit, or is it that a disproportionate number of blacks are committing crimes? If you believe blacks are targeted for crimes they didn't commit, then provide the data to support the claim. I personally believe it is that a disproportionate number of blacks are committing crimes

I agree, but I don't think that is going to happen until the African-American community steps up and address racism within their own community.

But that is what the DNC and it's fringes have been attempting to do to whites for decades. They use catch phrases like Social Justice, Tyranny of the Majority and White Privileged to denigrate the white community. They then use prejudicial programs like Affirmative Action to give minority communities a advantage over whites. Here is a perfect example. The graph was put together by the Association of American Colleges from date obtained between 2013 and 2016. It shows the acceptance rates for admission to medical school based on race, college GPA and MCAT scores:

As you can see, an African American with a GPA of 3.2 and a MCAT score of 24 has a better chance of getting accepted to medical school then a white with a 3.5 GPA and a MCAT score of 32. A student ha GPA of between 3.40 to 3.59 and a MCAT score of 27 to 29. If that student is white he/she has only a 29% chance of acceptance, but a black student has an 81% chance of acceptance.

Reality...one nearby town is mostly white and has a very low crime rate. Another has a large minority population and has crime reported daily. Shootings, armed robberies, etc. Committed almost entirely by blacks.

    It's not racist. It's reality.

When affirmative action was implemented at medical schools, first thing that happened was the underqualified flunked out. The solution was just to eliminate failure. The pass rate for medical schools now is near 100%. Do you still want to go to a Black doctor?

quoting your source: "Reportedly coined in 1939, the term white-collar crime is now synonymous with the full range of frauds committed by business and government professionals. These crimes are characterized by deceit, concealment, or violation of trust and are not dependent on the application or threat of physical force or violence. The motivation behind these crimes is financial—to obtain or avoid losing money, property, or services or to secure a personal or business advantage. "

that illustrates exactly what I posted - thanks for the validation

Statistics that prove that black doctors do not have to measure up to the same level of excellence as other doctors is "Racist"? Really, the stats are racist? Not wanting to go to an under qualified doctor is racist? If you knew that your White doctor had only to meet that same lower level of performance and you chose not to go to that doctor, that would be Racist? You would take your children or your elder parents to a doctor who only had to meet a lower bar of excellence? You're an idiot, and you should go to under qualified doctors for the cure!

For starters, your numbers are WAY off when calculating generations. A generation is currently considered 25 years, and in the past that number was more like 18.

We are in agreement that the problem we are seeing currently is cultural. Was that culture influenced by past wrongs?...absolutely. The truth is, there are an awful lot of high achievers within the black community. The focus of the Black movement for the most part is in highlighting wrongs that they perceive, and those efforts should instead be directed inward. If your Jesse Jacksons, and Al Sharptons of the world REALLY cared about the black community, they would be focusing their efforts on correcting their culture that doesn't stress education or fatherhood. They shouldn't be organizing rallies protesting the death and by extension glorifying thugs like the gentle giant, they should instead be organizing PTA meetings. They should be shaming the parents that do not ensure that their kids attend school. They should be marching in the streets against absentee fathers. Those are what will really change the lives of the people in their community. Marching against the police isn't going to improve their lives. Rioting and looting, even if NOT intended by the organizers, at this point is a semi predictable outcome, and the ensuing destruction to their community isn't going to improve their lives. At some point those organizers have to take responsibility for what their rallies produce. You can only act surprised that violence erupted so many times. Lets face it, another act of rioting and looting from a well intentioned "peaceful rally" in the ghetto is NOT exactly a shock is it ?

The stats aren't racist, your statement was. You assume all black doctors were accepted to medical school with lower GPA's and MCAT scores, and was somehow given a free pass directly a medical degree. Some might, but not all. I have a doctor who is black, and I have no complaints.

Therefore your statement is in fact racist. But I would say the same thing if a African-American were to advocate against going to a white doctor.

Its not racist, just playing the odds. Its like saying "What do you call a Medical student who passed with a C-? Lieutenant (military doctor)".

First off, you're responding to a picture - not to the points actually made. I had two points - one was that black on black crime isn't being exaggerated (like another poster suggested), and second was that blacks being quote "targeted" by policed probably has something to do with them committing more crimes, as victim reports identifying the race of perps show vastly more violent offenders being black.

No, it really isn't. If someone says "black lives matter", but they only care about the 1% of black homicide victims (those killed by white cops) then they're literally ignoring 99% of black homicide victims because - black lives matter?

If what you're saying is right, then the title of the movement is a misnomer. And then we can point out that officers are actually less likely to use lethal force on blacks, shoot and kill more whites, and point out that the discrepancies in sentencing between race are nothing compared to the discrepancies in sentencing between the sexes.

OK - so by the same standard if anyone ever assumes that someone got where they are in life, even in part, because of "white privilege" then that is also racist, right?

I completely agree with that statement. Unless you prove someone is in adequately prepared to full fill the position that they have, you can not quantify or qualify them by their race. Take Dr. Ben Carson as an example. He was the top of his field of Neurosurgery before he retired. He was not in that position because of his race, nor was he held back because of it. On the other hand, Barrack Obama was in fact unprepared for his position, and can credit the fact that he is an African-American as being the only reason he is in that position.

Further, it would be completely unfair to denigrate the hard work of any white person as white privilege. People should be giving credit where credit is due, but that does not meet the DNC's divide and conquer campaign.

Ben Carson admitted he benefited from affirmative action. At some point he was chosen over a more qualified White or Asian candidate.
