    This is an example of why making something overly- brief, is a false savings: your post does not express an intelligible idea. If you want me to understand whatever you are, here, trying to say, you'll have to make it clearer-- even if that requires a couple of more words.


    If all you are saying is that the Speaker is elected-- we all know that, already. But he, or she, is elected by the members of the House; that, in & of itself, absolutely does not imply that the person must be an elected House member, to be considered a candidate.
    As I had guessed, if this is your reasoning, it is no more than an assumptive leap, on your part.

    Why in HELL is Matt Gaetz not in jail? To the best of my recollection multiple unresolved instances of raping underaged girls should land one in some form of governmental custody rather than nominating a known traitor as Speaker of the House

    But then I've never been high up in the Party of Morality.

    Phony rape charges by unidentified sources seems to be the newest go-to smears against Republicans. Must be racist and Nazi accusations have lose their power.

    No, I am not unfamiliar with the expression, but it appears that you are: one says that to somebody, who would want the thing to which was being referred-- in this case, Trump becoming House Speaker-- to happen. Is that not how you understand it? I certainly would NOT want Trump to be Speaker of the House, under any circumstances, including, "in my dreams." (Or were you referring to something else?)
