The way the left has behaved has just confirmed this is exactly what America needed. Decades of politicians lying to working class, going to bed with the rich and powerful, the media talking down to the common man and trying to brainwash people, the left blaming whites for slavery of 100+ years ago and all the problems african americans face today, illegal immigration running rampant with no-one doing anything about it, racist groups like BLM waging war on law enforcement and inciting violence, liberals rioting violently, young kids wanting things for free, America policing the world and intervening too much in ME, infrastructure crumbling, US allowing other countries to take advantage of trade policies etc.... How about Michelle Obama and Clinton saying they 'go high' when Trump goes low? only to make the election a referendum on Trump and attack him viciously 24/7.. what hypocrisy.

This was the time for Donald Trump.... glad it happened. Let the left take to the streets and refuse to accept the results, this only serves to show us all Trump's win was the right outcome.

I went to bed before he officially won. Once they called Ohio, I knew he'd hang on to Florida, and was neck in neck in PA, WI, MI, etc, i figured it was over. But my first thought when i woke up was 'wow, this is (*)(*)(*)(*)ing incredible.' I immediately put on CNN, opened this forum, and laughed for about 30 straight minutes at the meltdowns. I've been laughing ever since too

LOL, listened to a female black Trump voter today on the radio. She was ecstatic. Trump wants to help the black community and maybe that's why the Liberals are so opposed to him.

So far the left losers have acted out in every way that they predicted Trump supporters would act if Hillary won. Pretty humorous, no?

Trump got less votes then McCain or Romney, Trump did not gain any votes

I do though hope Trump comes through on those promises he made to the black community, he has four years

Yep, you're going to see a lot of whining and gnashing of teeth from the left. Hope you have a good popcorn.

Yet only one side that claimed they knew how the other side would act and they are acting out. Projection. I believe Trump gained a higher percentage of the black vote, the Asian vote, and the Latino vote then Romney did.

    My reaction?

"How about that? I was right and all of the Christians were wrong."

"Oh wow I am going to love watching the $15 coffee NYC/ATX/SF/Seattle bike path leftists on MSNBC (*)(*)(*)(*)(*) and moan for 4 years".

It's great. And I say that as a Progressive-leaning person who is happy Trump won because frankly the Left has been made sick with poisonous, illogical elitism from the Obama years. It has lost its path.

the last 3 elections, republicans voted about 59 million every time, about 10 million dem voters decided not to vote this election... that is why Trump won

talking to some far right republicans I know, they said they voted against Hillary, they did not vote for Trump

Trump actually got less votes then McCain, Romney and Hillary, but still won...

both candidates were very unpopular this election, just more republicans held their nose and voted anyways, dems didn't vote, so we got Trump by default, dems have no one to blame but their own party

You totally underestimate what a disaster the Trump presidency will be. Even if you did consider it, you have also ignored the fact that Trump is going to renege on every campaign promise that he made, starting with "Repeal Obamacare, and replace it!"

That's always been a possibility. He isn't Hillary, so what choice did we have?

    None!

I was waiting for your comments bro :D. In real-time, I was watching the election with my grandmother(whose a green card holder and can't vote.) And she was upset by CBS pointing out the demographics of voting wondering what the purpose of that is. To this day, Liberals don't understand what they've effectively done to the country while sarcastically proclaiming "stronger together". It's the Liberals who created this state of events, and only the Liberals can put an end to it. But as you pointed out: Will they? I have my doubts with each day the protests continue.

Oh, right, back to real-time. When Trump was doing well in Florida, and North Carolina and won Georgia of all places(I considered Georgia a swing state). I noticed geographically, that Clinton was struggling in the North areas and that "this could happen". Then Trump virtually swept the entire Mid-West. Literally, THE ENTIRE mid-west. Clinton didn't gain a single state for Democrats this election cycle. Not one.

And I admit glee. Like you, I noticed that Trump wasn't qualified to be president but that didn't matter to me at that moment bro. We're both "Nationalists" and there was a chance he could get in. And he's not Hillary. He's not Hillary is what I reminded myself during the wane hours.

So then, when Trump theoretically got enough EV's to win, I held my breath. Would there be a last second reversal? With close votes to call in at least 3 States, it wasn't "over" yet. But I was giddy. Then, I'm sure you know what happened next. Podesta, he of the tomato ritual came out there and basically said "Go home, nothing to see here." And I was ROFL'ING my ass off. Remember when Hillary talked about respecting the result?

Then you had to see their butthurt tears in real-time during the election. It was glorious. There are real consequences to a President Trump we have to navigate. But 11/8/2016 was the night that we overthrew the despotism of the Democratic Party. It was a great night, tempered with the realism that this is a dangerous president. But he's not Hillary. And he's not a Democrat.

I intend to support him so we don't go off the ledge.

Surprise and disappointment in my country. I do not expect to be hurt by Trump as much as Trump supporters will be, but I thought better of our country before than to elect scum like this, or fall for the right wing smear of Clinton, or elect somebody out of an idiotic notion of change.

I hope the liberal states secede.

My own initial reaction was disbelief.

But being who I am I immediately looked to the future based upon what Trump has demonstrated in the past.

This will be the most corrupt administration in history far outstripping Bush jr or St Reagan. It will have no coherent direction and lurch from one crisis to another. There will be an ongoing war between the Whitehouse and the Congress and lawsuits tying up the SCOTUS. There will even be infighting amongst Trump's own cabinet assuming that any of them even get approved.

There is only one possible way that the above does not happen and that is if there is someone who Trump respects enough to listen to is in a position of enough power to keep him from going off the rails. That person does not exist to the best of my knowledge and even if they did they would be history the first time they fell out of favor with Trump.

As far as the campaign promises go I have no doubt whatsoever that the GOP Congress will pass them if they can and send them over to Trump to sign. But if they are feuding with him he won't sign them because he holds grudges against people like Ryan. Or he might just have changed what passes for his mind.

I have no doubt that the NSA and the Pentagon are going to keep Trump on a very short leash too. They won't obey illegal orders and they won't share vital intelligence if there is any risk of him divulging it. How that impacts the security of this nation and the rest of the world remains to be seen.

The economy is probably going to go into a recession and without any stimulus spending from Congress it will be a long and hard one to endure for Americans. I wish that it were otherwise but I don't see any other viable alternative. Corporations will be outsourcing every job they can because it will be cheaper than trying to keep the lights on here in America.

The only positive to that might be that illegal immigration will continue to reverse itself because there won't be "shining city on the hill" with jobs for immigrants any longer.

Is this what I want for America?

Of course not but it is a reality that is all too likely to happen given who and what Trump is.

The best case scenario is that I am wrong and if so then I will be happy about being wrong.

In the meantime I am buckling in for a very rough ride.

I remember thinking that the American voters who voted for Trump can't be that retarded, but when it was official that Trump won, I knew then and there that, yep, those voters are politically retarded.

Look, I know that a main part of trump's appeal is that he represents a big (*)(*)(*)(*) you to the establishment, to the financial elites, to Washington, and to free trade and globalization based upon his protectionist promises. But look at what he has done since then, he's basically surrounding himself with the same people who Trump promised of draining the swamp of; he was selling snake oil, and the American voters gobbled it up like crack cocaine.

I expected him to win unlike most I looked at the angst over jobs by the poor and working classes, nationally, and the fear I could feel hell I would have voted GOP this year if they chose a sensible man for the big seat and I'm a disabled man on SSI and Medicaid but I didn't like Trump. For those not in my boat but the average coal miner or blue collar factory type worker who wants a job he was very attractive. And then add in that with the whack jobs of the GOP finally no longer contained and it was going to be a win.

I have relatives who are coal miners you threaten their futures attacking coal power plants and then you might as well have taken a big old dump on them, you pissed them off then expect their votes for them they cared about their jobs.

I always said people will always vote for their perceived self-interest which this year was the economy before anything else.

I just hope his cabinet doesn't look like Strom Thurmond's would have looked when he ran in 1948.

Yeah, Barack's cabinet on the other hand looked like a proper leftist's rainbow of colors and sexes and did didley-squat for the next eight years. Perhaps a better idea is to pick people who are good regardless of gender identities and skin tones. It's worth a shot.
