Do you NOT understand what she did? She was protecting George's rights and making sure he fully understood his rights... Further, she has an obligation to the jurors. She protects their interests... and they want to wrap up and go home.

He could get 30 years for that!!! Totally unjust. Guess the jury won't know what penalty these charges merit. Now the state wants lesser charges which still carry a heavy penalty.

And you know if he is convicted of anything, the judge will throw the book at him. Nothing would please her more than to send George to prison.

 

The state knows it can't prove its case now they want lesser charges.

They'll be looking for any excuse to use them but only against those who don't agree with their agenda, which in this case would be those who think GZ is innocent. They will not be used against those who riot if he is acquitted.

There are tons of trials with only circumstantial evidence that leads to convictions.
In the Zimmerman case, you have person that confirmed he murdered Martin but is pleaded self defense. Every criminal says they are innocent, even Aaron Hernandez.
Should the guy in the Colorado be freed because has plead he is insane?

Should everyone that claims self defense walk out of jail the same night they kill someone minus any further investigation?

Zimmerman has yet to prove self defense, there is only the possibility of it. That said, here are the base facts:

The incident began at the T but they ran 20 feet toward Martin's home before they ended up on the ground and Martin was shot

Martin was being pursued by Zimmerman before the altercation

Zimmerman was trained in Martial Arts and self defense

There were no visual witnesses to how each person was placing their hands

Zimmerman has no explanation for the lack of effort to disengage from Martin

Martin and Zimmerman had a 45 pound weight differential

Martin was unarmed

Zimmerman was always armed but says he didn't know he was armed when he had only been away from home for 8 minutes

Zimmerman has a history of violent acts

Zimmerman's injuries don't align with the capabilities of Martin by the measuring tape.

So it's all or nothing for the defense-2nd degree murder.

 

That is a fact. The state of Florida and the Obama admin also both look terrible now that the evidence is out in the open.

The former Sanford police chief is stating in public that the investigation was stripped from the department because the state wanted GZ charged without enough probable cause.

GZ should pursue civil rights and malicious prosecution charges against the state of Florida.

I also am disgusted by the conduct of the president of the United States for injecting himself and his skin color into the situation. This is not the first time this insufferably arrogant man has interjected himself into a racially divisive case. His Justice Dept. also blocked a voter intimidation case from proceeding against the New Black Panther Party.

Obama voters, if you though you were voting for a uniter, you voted wrong.
