That is an easy task but it ignores the harder task of curing those God condemns to hell instead of his taking the moral high ground and curing instead of killing those who he would see as afflicted. If your child is ill, by your standards, will you cure him or kill him? Remember that you are to follow your immoral Gods standards. Regards DL
Yes. Backwards. ------------------ The intellectual collapse of Islam. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Fl1nJC3lvFs https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=KAPKYKhTp8U There is some duplication here so please start this one at the 5 min. mark. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=uyCxrL9-C84 Given that the vast majority of scientists and intelligentsia are not believers in supernatural Gods, is it possible that such beliefs actually hurt those who believe in the supernatural, witchcraft and fantastic entities of all types? I ask you this not just for Islam, as having dealt with a lot Christian believers, I think they might also be subject to what Islam has subjected itself to. Regards DL
You're missing the point. Egypt was all of the land in the Levant http://www.makehummusnotwar.com/history_6.html https://images.search.yahoo.com/yhs...maps/egyptian_empire_1450_bc.jpg&action=click. The Israelites didn't leave Egypt, Egypt left the Israelites.
Jesus' second commandment says to love each other. That would include giving all souls equal status. That is basically the Golden Rule, yet Muslims do not give equality to women, gays, and believers of other ideologies, so to say you and Islam follow Jesus would be an outright and demonstrable lie. Regards DL
Jesus was talking to the Israelites. He wasn't talking to everyone in the world. And he didn't love everyone.
I think he was talking to all as I think he would not differentiate that much and have a rule that he would apply to just a small part of the population. Most sages seek universal tenets and not just local ones. I agree that Jesus did not love everyone. He hated many. If he was to love those who followed his ways, then he would likely hate all those who did not. Regards DL
As it says in Matthew 15:24 (CEB) = Jesus replied, “I’ve been sent only to the lost sheep, the people of Israel.”
The bible lies quite often. A decent ideology, which is what they were trying and failed to put in Jesus' mouth, is for all, not just for a few. Do you think Socrates was only addressing Greeks with his words just because he was Greek? Regards DL
Words have specific meanings. http://www.etymonline.com/index.php?term=greek It's like when people claim that the fairy tale was written in Greek. The Greek that they show is the modern Greek alphabet. It's different from the Hellene alphabets of ancient times. That's how you can determine if something is a fraud.
I do not know if we can call a book of myths a fraud. We can I guess if the more stupid people think it is history but the word fraud cannot be applied to fiction because it is already a lie or just plain old fiction. Regards DL
That's comforting to know, but in that case how would you interpret these Quran verses?- [9.123] "O you who believe! fight those of the infidels who are near to you and let them find in you hardness" [5.51] "O you who believe! do not take the Jews and the Christians for friends.." This verse says Jesus was not God's son- [4.171] "the Messiah, Isa [Jesus] son of Marium [Mary] is only an apostle of Allah..far be It from His glory that He should have a son.." And this verse says he wasn't crucified- [4.157] "..they did not kill him nor did they crucify him.."
The idea that Muslims even a majority of Muslims believe that all non-Muslims should be killed is stupid. This idea doesn't come from the Quran, but from a teaching among a small minority of Muslim sects that only devout Muslims who take the Quran literally are worthy and that all others, including other Muslims, are unworthy of even life. This is not an idea that Muhammed taught or that is found in the Quaran. In fact, Muhammed specifically ordered his soldiers to protect non-Muslims religious artifacts and culture. It was prohibited for Muslim soldiers in his time to harm a preists of any religion or to harm any temple. They were prohibited from harming any person who was considered unable to take up arms. (women, children, elderly, the sick/disabled, etc...) One account even shows Mohammed personally beheading one of his soldiers for executing a wounded enemy soldier who was attempting to surrender.
Christian fundamentalists, the most dedicated to following the precepts of Christianity, also have problems with allowing equal status for women, gays and believers of other ideologies. The problem here is that humans are ... human. I'd also point out that the Qur'an states that heaven will include Jews, Muslims and Christians. But, the problem with cherry picking is that it is a matter of what YOU believe, not what THEY believe. To find out what THEY believe, one would need to ask them. That's true for Christianity, too. You could cherry pick Leviticus and come to the conclusion that Christians are vicious idiots. But, you could ask the pope or some other religious personage and learn why the picked cherries are rotten - as they always are.
Well, it boasts about how they killed Jesus using five different methods. Since Jesus said that he only came for the lost sheep of the house of Israel it seems that it's his problem, not mine.
"I'd also point out that the Qur'an states that heaven will include Jews, Muslims and Christians." Do you really have a source for that statement or is it something that you just think sounds good?
how about both religions just believe in the freewill part and stop trying to take it away from others
Jesus started with Israel, but later he went to Phase Two and announced he'd also come for the whole world.. "I did not come to judge the world but to save it" (John 12:47) "And this gospel of the kingdom will be preached in the whole world as a testimony to all nations" (Matt 24:14) "He said to them, “Go into all the world and preach the gospel to all creation." (Mark 16:15)
My main issue with religious holy books is they are written so badly allow the minority of zealots can take some of it to back a destructive interpretation how come these beings can't assume some of the humans will be morons and follow through with evil verses and not put them in there in the first place? Seriously when the Koran has verses dehumanizing non-believers and to kill them why didn't this being just not let that get in there if Allah is so damned powerful. The Torah and Bible also has issues in this area when it allowed slavery then it by default condoned slavery, if it said don't allow a witch to live then it instigated in part the Witch Trials and so forth. So why did god not just order those not to go into the book? Its either these beings are stupid, they condone evil in their name or are testing followers and accept some will do evil or they don't exist.
