They did not, and by definition could not have been invaded.

It was created by a union army captain in 1871, to improve marksmanship.

Last time I heard they were trying to split up the state not secede from the actual union and no I don't support it because having a flag with 51 stars would look stupid.

And exactly what prior agreement was that? What treaty did the United States sign with South Carolina that prevented the United States from supporting its sovereign territory?

Google finger broke? This from wiki:

"Of the states that were exempted from the Proclamation, Maryland (1864),Missouri (1865), Tennessee (1865), and West Virginia (1865) abolished slavery before the war ended. However,Delaware and Kentucky did not abolish slavery until December 1865, when the Thirteenth Amendment was ratified."

Also, New Jersey had .... ahem .... "servants for life" until that time.

"Six days after seceding, Major Robert Anderson, of the Union, moved his small command of men from indefensible Ft. Moultrie to Ft. Sumter per orders received from Secretary of War John B. Floyd unbeknownst to President James Buchanan. This small movement would become the basis for the beginning of the great battle. South Carolina authorities saw it as a breach of faith as Governor Francis W. Pickens believed Buchanan promised to leave Ft. Sumter unoccupied. Meanwhile, when Buchanan learned of the move, he was surprised and dismayed as he was unaware that orders had been issued. However, when approached by Pickens with the demand to evacuate the harbor, Buchanan refused. After experiencing political fallout and embarrassment over the situation, Pickens ordered all other federal positions in his state to be seized."

The South saw it as an attempt to prepare to blockade a Confederate port.

And why do you ask a stupid question about a treaty. The island in Charleston harbor was now Confederate territory as others have explained above. Well within their international limits.

Now and and others have answered all you questions towards what we have post. How about you and your fellow defenders here respond in kind to ours.

What about California. What about the talk of "treason" their and succession. Should those people advocating it be arrested for trying to incite a revolt and treason? Are they traitors?

And Lincoln's intent when he invaded the South was to bring those slave states back into the Union with their slavery intact. Slavery was legal in the United States from its founding until AFTER the Civil War. The North needed the slave labor in not just the South but in their own slave states that didn't succeed as much as the South as did England and France and the other European countries who established and created the slave based economy of the South. The North also had indentured servitude so they could have white European slaves because they did not want a large population of African slaves in their states. Even Lincoln wanted to send them back to Africa.

No, it was because the British Rifle association was formed, and americans in Britain wrote home and suggested forming the NRA.

You couldn't be more wrong, that's why you don't need to butt your face into the history of the US until you find the real history of it. Learn it.

Now I know you're definitely ignorant on why the Civil War was fought. The North never fought the South over slavery, never. Robert E Lee was anti-slavery, Lincoln was a white supremacist who said blacks and whites can't live among each other, that blacks can never hold a political office, that blacks can never vote, and that blacks can never intermarry whites. His whole demeanor of freeing slaves was to get most of them out of his region and into the west with the Natives, or back to Liberia. Where the hell did you learn your version of the Civil War? Wow

The outpost in South Carolina? That was CSA territory after secession. Not federal.

Listen, I already quoted the states themselves, in their declerations of secession saying the reason they were leaving the union was because of Lincoln and the incoming administrations intent to cripple and end the evil institution of slavery. Do you need me to do so again? Lincoln went to war to preserve the union but the union only needing saving because the south never wanted to give up it's right to own other human beings as property.

Have you ever read the actual Ordinances of Secession? Out of all 13 Ordinances, slave is mentioned a total of three times, and in reference to slave-holding states all three times. Never about institution of slavery, etc. Why don't you tell me how many times you find "institutional slavery" in these actual documents.

I support the Confederacy 110% and share a direct bloodline to soldiers who fought in the Confederacy. I'm not a traitor, and neither were they. You're judging these men and their decisions by today's standards. That's your problem, bro.

States are not able to secede. That land remained federal land.

Yes, I'd love for you to do it again. This time, I challenge you to include a picture of the actual Ordinance. Thanks in advance.
