    Not after they became another country, it was US Military that escolated and began the reinforcement forcing SC to protect itself from the blatant provocation.

    So what about California and those calling for sucsssion there.

    They never became another country. The fort was always federally owned. Attacking it was treason, and the rebels were put in their place after.

    It was never Confederate land. South Carolina gave up that land to collective ownership by the United States and its people and then surrendered any claim they had to it when they unilaterally pulled out of the United States.
