No logical person would have promised that Mexico would pay for the wall

    An "honor" for certain.

But the "Greatest Honor in the World"?

Any country that would have a Constitution that could facilitate the election of a Mindless Imbecile (like Trump), who lost the popular vote by almost 3 million, deserves to be viewed as a Worldwide Laughingstock.

I can think of much GREATER "honors".

Winning a Billion Dollar Lottery, taking Margot Robbie to Bed, Etc.

Same constitution facilitated the election of the empty suit Obama.

My guess is, the obstructionist and Nancy pelosi will reject anything Trump offers.

If President Trump were to offer to resign tomorrow at noon, Pelosi and the obstructionist would obstruct and reject Trump resignation.

The ball will be in Nancy's control and her defense better watch out for being suckered punch again by Trump if they don't do something with the ball.

The scuttlebutt is, Trump will cave in some offering legalization of illegal alien dreamers who harvested ballots for Democrats in California last November during the elections in exchange of putting federal workers and Americans on food stamps above illegal aliens by funding the border wall and securing our borders.

Fox is saying, in essence, that Trump will make proposals involving some concessions -- particularly involving the DACA offspring, but that the Democrats have already indicated that they will not (NOT) work with him -- no matter what!

A lot of Americans, including me, don't really care if they get "the government" back open or not. It's no skin off my nose if "the government" stays closed down at THIS level right through the rest of the year -- or beyond. And I'm just an 'ordinary, average guy'....

    Oh, the pain an suffering....

Seriously I have little sympathy for the upper echelon taking some discomfort. Delayed pay for Federal employees doesn't offend me. We do, however, have some among us that depend on benefits that will halt this next month. For them, it needs to resolve for the moment.

The White House has only been talking to Republicans about this proposa - not the Democrats, and, if the news reports are on track - this is a total non-starter for the Democrats. This apparent so called deal wouldn't get through the House, let alone the Senate. Trump is just starting.....

Logic had nothing to do with "Messiah" Obama lying through his dripping teeth when he made THAT promise. It was dirty, conniving, crass politics-as-usual, steeped in a pot of LIES.

BUT, I do wish that Trump had never, EVER said the Mexico was going to pay for anything. He gave the Democrats weapons to use against him when he did that.

No, it would look very bad if he gave into them, it would be a clear win for the democrats.

    Trump can not afford that.

Hopefully he declares a national emergency and just builds it.

What? I get that you hate Trump and all, but is saying that being a US citizen is the greatest honor in the world really "beyond delusional?"

Before he even announce his plan the Democrats are rejecting it showing their true motives. No matter the government shutdown, no matter the issues at the borders, no matter the people suffering especially the children they will not even give Trump the $3.4B he has requested. It's not about any of that it is about 2020 and their hope to defeat Trump.

OK, GOOD -- FINALLY! He has now stated that "the Wall" would only be constructed at specific high-volume areas, and that it would not (NOT) be a solid, end-to-end wall that would extend through the entire border. That IS what he described in his Executive Order, but if he is scaling that back, then the whole thing now makes a HELL of a lot more sense.

He has also "sweetened the pot" with a three-year extension for DACA people. Every good negotiation involves compromise, so, he's trying to find that 'middle-ground'.

    Pretty much.

This shows that Trump is losing this.

    Trump loves his Pepsi.

    Scarface Jr. and Sr.

    That speech was a joke.
