Dude it is your party that wants to maintain lock downs into the foreseeable future that's what's converting people into moochers. People still have bills too pay and groceries to buy and the Dems are seemingly bound and determined to keep that from happening

What's it with the democrats making dying business foot the costs of 'covid help for Americans' with a fifteen dollar min wage? I mean why do that Now when small businesses are struggling more than ever instead of just having the government help foot that bill until post-covid?

Cancel culture. Yeah, great idea. The GOP has become the party of eternal grievance.

I’d suggest maybe those in Congress have taken a closer look at exactly what the bill does and possibly weighed the pros vs the cons. We have payroll employment numbers higher than at any time during the Obama administration, a 6.2% unemployment rate, we added 379k jobs in january and there are 6.6 million unfilled positions awaiting candidates. Oh and GDP grew 4.1%. Maybe the economy needs less “stimulus” and more relaxed COVID restrictions.
Unfortunately that goes against the left’s drive to gain totalitarian powers and dictate our lives in excruciating detail. So Dems and the useful idiots in the media yell and scream about how we need to borrow another couple of trillion dollars. Simple really.

And here it is, the two parties that represent nothing but their own power. We are lead by narcissistic *******s on both sides of the aisle. The proof that they give two shits about the well being of the country become more apparent even as we become more divided.

Agreed. So long as the left keeps using the treasury to buy votes, they will destroy the country. Absolutely correct.

What do you consider pork in the bill?

Just because it's not covid, doesn't mean it's not needed. Pork is stuff that isn't needed and is make work on the public dime.

Deficits are 100% the result of out of control spending.

Look at tax revenue as a percentage of GDP historically.

When politicians are spending other people's money, with unlimited ability to raise revenue, they have no incentive to be frugal.

    THATS the problem.

    egregious partisan lingo aside,

Did you whine about debt and deficits when Trump drove them both to sky high limits?

We can easily pay for it with very little borrowing by repealing the tax cuts above $75k.

The first two had significantly less pork for left-wing causes.

If I gave you two roast beef sandwiches, and you ate them, and then I gave you another one, and stuffed it full of cow manure, should I be surprised that you don't want to eat my third roast beef sandwich? After all, you ate the first two, didn't you?

They literally had no policy platform at the last RNC convention.

It was just a hail Trump-palooza.

Until pandemic Trump was only #5 on the all-time deficits list; wanna guess who had the top four spots?
And, yes, I have been outspoken on wasteful government spending and sound taxation policies for decades. Funny thing: tax revenues continue to group after tax cuts; probably because that money was being put to better use by businesses, consumers and entrepreneurs that it would have been if politicians ( both parties) had got their hands on it. You do know median household income was about $67k so your tax hike idea would cut into middle class.
By the way CBO reported tax revenues for this FY up 5% from last year.

From February 2021 CBO monthly report:

Deficits is the difference between spending more than revenue . Revenue is just as much of a factor.

Out of control weak revenue collection is just as much of a contributor.

The Republicans do not care about the American people. They primarily exist to serve the aristocracy, not the common man.

But, the sequence is the other way, government spends first, then taxes.

If it gives tax cuts note that they spent the money first, and by cutting taxes, they are renegging.

If you want to cut taxes, do it AFTER you cut spending, not before.

If you don't, then the government must finance the deficit you just created by:

    1. Borrowing,
    2. Borrowing and printing money.
    3. Printing money.

All three are bad. But #3 shifts resources from the poor to the rich via inflation and devaluing purchasing power the most, the rich profit the most via hedged investments. #2 Does shifts resources less, plus sells out our future. #1 sells out our future.

But for that sequence, you might have a point.

Plus they only only passed the Senate because five Republicans were out, in quarantine.

    Left wing causes?

    What are they?

they are helping a lot of people.

Your metaphor is about as accurate as crap, given that it is crap.

Actually, at this point I think we’re beyond “what came first” discussions.
IF there were ANY CHANCE Congress WOULD cut spending, I’d agree with you; but there isn’t.
Again, theoretically you’re probably on point. But at this point waiting for spending cuts just isn’t in the cards. And tax cuts, as I”ve show INCREASE revenues which helps temper the spending surges.

ETA: I do want to emplhasize that text cuts (actually rate reductions) are not silver bullets - I believe there is a optimum rate that will maximize revenues. I also think we are fairly close on individual tax rates. We may have room in business rates, however,

The only question is which one is leading somewhere rational people want to go? As awful as neocons generally are, they are not the only Republicans, far from it.

The Republicans have spoken and been quite clear on why they oppose it so why to you post a video of a Democrat?

We passed two why do we need a third when the economy is posed to expand and unemployment is about to go under 5% and we have had the biggest increase in consumer saving in decades. The vast majority of this doesnt' get spent for several years how is that stimulus NOW? We still hundreds of billion that haven't been spent why allocate more? How about showing some success with what has already been authorized.

Why do you think all ideas must come from Washington DC especially on the economy and business?
