Who cares? Snowflakes will keep running from the world until they have to stay holed up in their beds under the covers nervously reading their great orange hope's latest twitter brain fart to know what to think next.
What a sad little world the alt right lives in.

I agree. Trump isn't asking the kneelers to risk their lives and go to war for their country and blessings. He's simply reminding them to stand up and honor those who do.

Of course, they do. They're part of the achievements Trump supporters talk about - they don't just talk about the "40+ useless bills" that he's signed into law.

Trumpeteers are just responding to the accusation that 1) he hasn't passed any laws and 2) he hasn't done or achieved anything.

As for Congress, it deserves credit for its accomplishments and blame for its failures and that isn't limited to Congressional Republicans, either. Democratic obstructionism has been a large part of the problem on Capitol Hill this year.

Trump certainly can't take credit for Congress' accomplishments, but he does deserve credit for passing the VA Accountability Act that languished under Obama's misrule.

I never made any such commitment and I never led you to believe that I would.

What are you doing referring to it by the Democrats' euphemism for that mockery of a travesty of a sham? That term insults people's intelligence exponentially worse than the term I use for it.

If Ryan and McConnell had done their jobs there would have been a repeal and replace bill sitting on Trump's desk on Inauguration Day. It's not Trump's fault they didn't have a bill ready after all these years - why aren't you railing about their leadership, especially the failed leadership in the Senate?

Furthermore, after refusing to even consider the House bill that is still languishing on Capitol Hill, what makes you believe Senate Republicans would have treated a Trump proposal any differently? They've been "My Way or the Highway" the whole way.

I disagree. If anyone has failed his supporters, the GOP and the American people it's the Republican disasters in the Senate who have failed to act like conservatives and fulfill the promises they've been making to us for years now.

Agreed. Once a habit is broken, even a formerly strong one, the urge to go back greatly diminishes.

In any event does the NFL want it's product to lose it's glimmer and glitter even a little bit? That's highly doubtful.

He certainly didn't start it, but he threw gasoline on smoldering embers in a blatent political grab. Prior to sh1tstain opening his mouth, you had a handful of players taking a knee. This week, you have the majority of the league protesting in one form or another, and the NFLPA and the owners issuing statements condemning his blather. He11, you had confirmed trumplodytes like Brady and Kraft coming out against sh1tstain's blather.

We must first get past your profound ignorance of basic logic. You cannot speak for the NFL and a "belief" is only a "fact" to the believer. "Any belief that matches mine is a fact, and only nitwits believe otherwise"

Disagree if you like, but the brand is NFL, not the FL. My father-in-law has no love for Trump, but is dealing with the effects of Agent Orange from serving in Vietnam. He sees it as a big F YOU. Would you like an opportunity to call him a nitwit to his face?

They don't believe you and neither do I! History proves that there is no indignity, no insult that the fans won't stomach except for one thing.

A blank screen on game day. That's the only unforgivable sin in professional sports.

Yes, it was a blatant political grab.

This is a non story, and there was nothing to it except a few grumbling angry racists until Trump decided to blow the Presidential dog whistle.

Trump does understand the shallow world of the tabloid/cable TV audience.

The political realities around Trump are terrible. His health care bill is going down in flames. His candidate in the Alabama special election is going down in flames. His former campaign manager is about to be indicted. A North Korean madman can match him nit wit, for nit wit.

So he needed to change the subject. That's all this is about.

I gave up drugs, alcohol, and cigs. And I enjoyed them. Not watching something on TV that insults me will not be a challenge. In fact, it will be a joy.
    No way! For real?

I mean professors who stage protests because conservative speakers who are invited to their campuses by student groups (not just at Berkeley by no means, do you want a recent list of them?) are denied that privilege. Because elitist professors, administrators, and left crazed students are the biggest hypocrites on earth. That is one major example I am referring to. Of course I could produce many others, such as the sickness in DC where global criminals like Hillary are let go even though they destroyed 30,000 emails, servers, hard drives, etc. after being subpoenaed by congress. And the IRS did the very same destruction of subpoenaed hard drives and evidence and no one is indicted much less convicted. But you people run around with your hair on fire because the media tells you Russians and Trump --- something going on there and all other important issues for this nation must stop until we get to the bottom of that, even if it takes us more than a year. This nation is sick and the left are mainly to blame.

I can no longer talk to people like that because agenda and pride is what controls them.

Seems you're having a little trouble staying on topic.

Why don't you get a broom and sweep up all those marbles you've lost and see if a doctor somewhere will reinsert them for you?

Below was the original topic and exchange between us. (post #109). You were the one who was so confused you had to ask the obtuse follow up question "Do you mean the guys demanding people be fired for expressing their opinion in public?" :0 Seems to me you are the one who cannot comprehend simple meanings or connect basic dots. So now I expect you to do your typical left dance and come up with some cute retort --- once again, anything except a direct answer.

Who is trying to stop freedom of speech, except the Left? Funny how they are going hysterical over the kneeling but are glad to stop more thoughtful conservative speakers from expressing their views on campus.

Freedom of speech is not the issue. It is where and when it is done. Some places, including an individual's place of employment, do not or should not allow for saying whatever you want, whenever you want. And the national anthem in front of millions is not a player's podium to act as he pleases. Taking a knee during the national anthem, is not brave, it is cheap PR, in my opinion. It does not really place any further demands on the protester, yet it makes him a hero amongst those who are rampantly angry demanding renegades. If I do not like the way the country is being governed, that does not give me the right to bash windows in stores and loot them. Similarly, if I choose to disrespect the flag in an brazen way without impunity, good luck with that. Your bosses may beg to differ because they have opinions as well about this nation and how their organization should be represented.

We have been through this before

Pro football players derive their income from the interest and dollars of the public

So does everyone in this country. And everyone in this country does not work for you or for me. You know that.
