Full responsibility for any negligent discharge is the person handling the firearm. Other actors are speaking out on this very thing and none of them ever heard ‘cold gun’ on a set. All of them check their firearm when received.

As a previous Army guy myself, we fired just about everything. LAWs, 45, M16, mortar's, 60s, and grenades. Not a single injury with an entire platoon of idiots. lol
My DI was a former Vietnam infantry guy who believed his maggots needed to fire everything the Army has to offer.

2) I have followed and read every post since the creation of this thread.

I have NOT come across even ONE post where anybody has "defended" Baldwin or referred to Baldwin as the "victim".

Tl;Dr--I have no idea what you are talking about.
And, you (obviously) are making things up out of whole cloth UNLESS you can produce even ONE post by someone "defending" Baldwin or claiming that he is a "victim"

A. Agreed. This does, however, place responsibility on the person trained.
B. The scenario includes the idea that the equipment is defective, ie the safety has been defeated.
C. Wouldn't or shouldn't be? I say should be.

 

Even if it is a real gun, it is also a prop. They are not mutually exclusive. “Prop” does not mean fake or replica. It just refers to different kinds of properties that are used in the production.

 

On the last point, it is very unusual for someone who accidentally kills someone else on the job to be criminally charged, at least in my experience. I don't like that, as I think people should be held to more account than they are, but that's what I've seen.

 

I agree with what you're saying, however, some here don't know the difference. Just making the distinction.
