Good of you to admit the Democrats are at fault here.

Still waiting for you to address the question:
When the state will not enforce the current laws, why do you think more laws will solve the problem?

Persons in almost all states are required to submit finger prints when applying for a carry permit. Not all states require finger prints. Some states use "wet" print cards and others use an electronic system. Electronic systems are instantly entered to NICS for purposes of an initial BG check for permitting.

Once a person obtains a carry permit, some states use will use a carry permit and conduct no additional BG check at the time of a firearm purchase.
Other states, mine for example require all firearm purchases to be either called in to NICS or submitted electronically via nicsezcheckfbi.gov. Either way, unless something turns up, most will receive a "proceed" within a couple minutes. My state has no waiting period so once there is a proceed, the transaction is completed and the customer walks out the door with his firearm(s). In IL there is a 72 hour waiting period.

That explains it - only in freedom-hating blue states do you need to give up your fingerprints as a precondition to the exercise of your rights.

I agree. If one thinks logically then committing this kind of mass killing does not make anything better. I cannot relate to such a thing.

Ohio is fairly gun friendly. I wasn't asking you. I meant Chopped. He lists AZ. I know AZ does not require fingerprints to purchase a firearm.
States that actually register firearms will have additional requirements, HI for example. CA has gotten to the point I don't do business there anymore but even so, I don't believe they require fingerprints to purchase a firearm. FFL's don't have any authority to take fingerprints. They would need to be obtained by getting printed by local police (if they are willing to do it) or a county sheriff department.

Which state is that - I can't find a state that requires a fingerprint as part of the background check to purchase a gun

They require obtaining a FOID, which requires fingerprints, before you can fill out a 4473 to buy a gun.

The 4473 is federal, not state.

    That's exactly what they're doing.

The way Democrats get more power is by creating dangerous areas to live, to justify giving them more power to keep you safe.

They get the power, but the area doesn't get any safer.

Then you're not looking hard enough.

I've done the firearm background check THREE TIMES within the last year.

I know what the **** I'm talking about.

Hmm, Failure to communicate maybe? You live in IL? Even in IL, a very restrictive state, NO finger prints are required to Purchase a firearm.

Strange that I'm not the only one questioning your post. Why are you not saying which state you are in to remove all doubt?

What is required to purchase a firearm in IL:

    1. A valid FOID card. 2. A valid State of Illinois photo ID, usually a DL. That's it. If anyone told you anything different they are blowing smoke.

Give me ANY state and I can tell you what the requirements are.

All the links Ive just looked through say that fingerprints are only required for concealed-carry and then only if you want your gun quickly where you can voluntarily have your prints checked.

Correct but since the state of IL acts as their own POC, background checks initiate with the state police who access NICS data as part of their checks. It should be more comprehensive if their own state wide criminal databases are up to date and correct.

Send a link if you have one. I know of no GS's in IL that are capable of taking finger prints. I can speak to Industry OPS to verify but IL is not a state I deal with or even carry in if avoidable.

IL does not recognize a carry permit from any other state -- UNLESS you are in your car.
    How stupid is that?
