No, I think you forget that some Black women are more qualified than some white men. Otherwise we wouldn't be having this discussion.

Most likely it’s going to be Kentaji Jackson. She’s been on the federal appeals court for ONE YEAR.

But sure. You want to wait? That’s cool. But you and I both know there’s not a black woman judge out there with the qualifications that exceed the qualifications of white judges out there.

If there is one, name her.

Name one black woman judge who has the qualifications to beat out the qualifications for the dozens of qualified white men.

It’s sure as hell not the short lister Kentaji Jackson.

Republicans select conservative judges. They don't select anyone by LGBTQ or race. Only Democrats do that

More false propaganda by the left and have been hearing that for years. Still hasn't happened. Just another fake leftist claim

The party that selects by race instead of ability, calling the other party racist.
    The hypocrisy is staggering

I thought that competence was the first quality sought....

The main political issue for evangelicals has always been abortion.

And evangelicals vote Republican because they are hopeful that SCOTUS will someday overturn Roe vs. Wade.

So far, they haven't succeeded, but that's their goal.

    There's no question about that.

    Sure.

Which doesn't matter a damn. Once you start down the path the route is always forward.

Yes. That's half of Biden's criteria for his upcoming nomination.

If she is the most qualified, sure. If it's because she is black...**** off.

Hasn't worked well with the VP

Qualified judges with track records of following their oaths to protect and defend the Constitution.

Speaking of which, what was Obama looking for when he offered up Kagan, an ideologue who hadn't spent a minute on the bench? It certainly had nothing to do with qualifications!

Conservative isn't a race and Democrats voted for Liberals for SCOTUS.
    FAIL

Republicans don't vote for a jurist that rules by liberal ideals instead of constitutional law

I guess you didn't know about Clarence Thomas, Black man appointed by Conservatives 30 years ago.
Yet it was Biden who fought to keep Clarence Thomas off the SCOTUS and later apologized for saying that he thought all Blacks should be liberal Democrats or putting black people back in chains.
You lack of knowledge on history is astounding.

So you admit you want a black woman you can use as a tool.
    Nothing racist about that, huh.
Hypocrisy at its finest right there

That’s tantamount to arguing that we should have affirmative action in the NBA and make sure they’re putting more white and Asian guys on their teams and starting five. Based on nothing more than representation and taking zero consideration of the fact that they’re just not as talented.

In how we judge people, color shouldn’t matter. We should judge a person by their words and actions. Words and actions reveal the character of a person.

I honestly think that those who denigrate Dr King’s famous words are people who secretly don’t want that equality to become normal. I don’t think they truly want racial harmony in our country.

When Dr King said those words, he was envisioning an ideal that largely didn’t yet exist. And he was challenging white Americans to turn away from their prejudices and just judge people on their character, not their color.

I honestly think that there are people, mostly on the political left, who don’t want that to happen. They will never admit it, but it is fairly transparent to many observers.

    It’s weird, and it’s wrong.

Then, after stacking the lower courts with radicals, they expected the GOP to give them a backstop in the SCOTUS. Democrats are still whining that the GOP departed from their weak kneed desire to go along with the radicals when they didn't allow a vote on Garland and changed the 60 vote cloture for SCOTUS nominations.

Tell Trump's MAGA, rightwing followers to move beyond group think.
Also, for every PDiddy, there are a hundred White men. And for every unemployed Caucasian steel worker there are a hundred unemployed African-American men.
    Poor analogy.

If Biden picking a black woman as a supreme court justice is sexist and racist, then does that mean picking 114 supreme court justice who are white men out the 120 supreme court justices of the US's history is sexist and racist?

    Depends.
Biden is picking a nominee based on color and gender. He says so.
Can you demonstrate those 114 other justices were nominated based on color and gender?
If not, then the answer to your question is no.

When you claim it has to be a certain race, and a certain gender, and you don't even know who the candidates are, its obvious he is making his selection as a political tool, not by competency.
By the same guy who tried to stop Clarence Thomas nomination claiming all blacks should be Democrat liberals.

You mean during the time when women couldn't vote and neither could any non white?
Yeah I feel pretty confident making that bet for sure.

Once they get the vote? I still feel pretty ****ing confident, all the way up through LBJ.

"In how we judge people, color shouldn't matter".
So true. But, sadly, it does matter. I admire Rev King. I understand what he was trying to do. Unfortunately, race relations haven't improved much since the day he made that speech, almost 60 years ago.

Gross overstament doesn't change or prove anything. There are also thirteen Caucasian for every African-American.

Oh and for what it's worth maga are less likely to give a damn what color someone's skin is than any Democrat.
