Just another example where the police overstep their jurisdiction. I agree they should not be doing that.

The cop made a mistake. The player should have acted like an adult, instead he escalates the situation. Fentanyl Floyd would be alive today (well, probably not) if he cooperated. This player said he was afraid for his life and he still wouldn’t cooperate. That makes him one of the most stupid people on the planet.

    Hey it's your story Bro!
He simply told them that a car was stolen in the area, not that they had stolen a car ;)

My guess it’s either a chip on their shoulder or outstanding warrants. In this case it sounds like the chip is the winner.

So why didn't the cop act like an adult?

Eh, it's a troll thread because at the end of the day it's about a cop who did his job whether we liked it or not - then someone's feelz got hurt about it and there's no other reason for it to exist. Meanwhile schools out and I'm enjoying the day - and this is as good a way as any of having fun.

Also, maybe you can tell me if mindreading is losing an argument or not? Because one poster says it is but then he engages in it also - I mean, I'm not sure whether we're supposed to be doing that or not. My scholarship at Professor Xavier's School is on the line here!

See, even you say the cop had the player’s life in his hands and he still refused to show ID.

So you aren't going to answer? I couldn't find what they were accused of either.

Why is it so difficult to show an ID?

So you think it right that people just refuse to comply anytime the police ask them for something as simple as ID.. So how are we going to stop all these mass shooting and stuff when all we have to do is use your rule of law and just tell the officers "NO" and walk away..

I asked you if you knew reasonable suspicion v probable cause AND gave you the link and the definition. Are you up to speed yet?

All the authoritarians had to do was respect basic rights and they'd be part of the solution and not part of the problem.

Hey, remember when you needed ID just to get into a Dem convention?

    Pepperidge Farm remembers.

Gotta admit, I'm having a few chuckles reading this thread!

Asking to see ID is disrespecting basic rights?

So your on the side of "No" means "NO" and you simple ignore the police.. Sounds like a winner to me ;)

Did Hampton get beat up, or did a cop just want to ask him some questions? Hampton might have been going to do a mass shooting for all you know.

Threatening to take someone to jail for not providing one, when they have no legal duty to provide one, is disrespecting basic rights. Some of us value liberty over authoritarianism. Join us one day.

Part of basic rights is cooperating with authorities when they ask a few questions. Being an ass to the police helps never, yes?

Based on that logic, police should be able to detain whoever they want with no cause and no evidence. You are advocating a fascist police state.

Quote me ever advocating that. Funny how you guys just make up bull **** when caught advocating authoritarianism and realize you can't defend it.
