Keep in mind that a lot of the things that were blamed on Covid were not actually caused by Covid.

First, the economic shutdown was entirely intentional and was there to help make sure former president Trump would not be reelected. (Remember, the shutdowns were put in place by individual states, not the federal government) Get, rid of Trump, no matter what the economic cost was.

Second of all, the quickly receding Covid pandemic (combined with the Ukraine conflict) are being used as a veil to blame problems on.

So some of this was like intentional economic sabotage for political purposes, and some of it is economic incompetence and the side effects of government policy.

You mean when My four year old nephew who is too young to receive the vaccine and I were innocently playing together after Christmas? The answer is yes I was, and boosted because I understood the vaccine for a highly mutable virus may not always be the most effective against different strains of the virus. Which is why when we look at the science those who have had the vaccine and are boosted are far less likely to die or be seriously sick than those that refused to get vaccinated.

 

You have had 3 shots and still got Covid and you still believe someone else getting the shots will protect you? As for your 4 year old Nephew giving you Covid, maybe it's more likely one of the adults in the family is the carrier?

When this crap first broke and we knew a vaccine was on the way I couldn't wait to get my shot. It was supposed to prevent my getting the virus. It don't and when it turned out to be pretty ineffective the story goes it was never meant to keep me from getting Covid but it was supposed to keep me out of the hospital/morgue. It don't do any of that either. To my way of thinking it makes very little sense to demonize someone who has decided the vaccine and the good it can do doesn't justify the hate campaign. Something else that occurs to me is that people today who are not vaccinated have lived among us for the entire duration of this virus and they must still be alive because we are still trying to force them to get the shots. A lot of people who got the shots are not. I'll make up my mind and you take care of yours and so on and lets just get on with living.

Yeah it’s ideas like this that promote anti-vaccine hysteria. I don’t think you’re touching on the science. The science is very clear on this. What I think you’re touching on is the politics of vaccination and that refusing to get vaccinated can change the bargaining range between workers and their bosses.

 

The science is fluid. I am not anti vaccine but I don't believe the vaccines we have work well enough to justify forcing participation. Yes, it has become very political.
