Before Biden, presidents tried to get Putin to play nice. It was called a reset, and Bush2 and Obama both tried to get Putin to play nice. You may have noticed it didn't work.

If we leave Trump out of the discussion, foreign affairs was mostly bipartisan. We have hundreds of agreements and treaties. Our political system also gives business massive (and undeserved) influence. Businesses are usually quite consistent in the things they want.

Biden has done an exceptional job at dealing with Putins attempt to wipe Ukraine off the map.

If you catalog Obama's words and positions on Russia as president he is weak, accommodating and secretly colluding with Russia! He made fun of Mitt Romney for saying Russia was a threat. He did not give any military assistance to Ukraine that could kill any Russian. He is on video secretly colluding with Russia and implying he could use some help in the 2012 election.

[1] The existence of the innate immune system.
[2] The existence of natural immunity.

I already take basic sanitary precautions. I wash my hands after going #2, and I wash my hands after I come home from work (before I eat my meal). I add in additional washings if I happen to get my hands visibly dirty.

 

Liberals (typically Democrats) choose to live their lives in fear (fear of a virus, fear of a religion, fear of a supposedly warming Earth, fear of people making their own choices), and with that fear comes both unhappiness and an urge to control the environment around them (including the actions of other people).

This is why liberals tend to be very authoritarian, very autocratic, and in favor of oligarchies/dictatorships and tyranny and socialism (all of which they falsely call "democracy" in an attempt to make it all sound better).


Meanwhile, conservatives (nowadays typically not even considering themselves to be Republicans, as the Republican Party is a huge mess) generally do not live their lives in fear. They are generally happier people and generally are "at peace" with the environment around them, no matter how chaotic it may be or get.

This is why conservatives tend to be more libertarian than authoritarian, opposed to autocracy, oligarchies, dictatorships, and even democracy (rather, being in favor of a republican form of government under the USA Constitution).
