Ok, so you need an umpire? I`m your man. Sorry Garry, but I have to hand my decision to Diuretic. He won the debate when he said "Church and Unions should never have influence over the State". Pretty smart blowk that phella eh!

I actually believe we are closer than you think. It is the ideals and actions of the current Unions we disagree on and a possible way forward for them for future.

It is only the obtuse dildo that considers this to be an attack on Unions.

    I said that? Don't remember.

Not wanting to think of myself as an obtuse dildo maybe it's time for me to lay down my keyboard - for this thread anyway.

I think you smashed that nail on the head DV! Sick of hearing the productivity/labour line! It is simply typical rhetoric from the massively over rich services industry hobnobs, and mining magnates! It requires a balance, and at no stage have we seen an over balance for the labourer! Rhinehart and G. Harvey were getting massively richer! They can afford to drop their salaries in hard times but the poor old labourer still has a mortgage to pay off, water rates and other council rates along with planning to survive in retirement! Rather than make 30billion in a year, why not make 25 billion, that'll create more jobs!

Envy will do that to you. If you let it.

It's about challenging greed! You can be wealthy without being greedy, unfortunately there aren't too many that can uphold this quality whilst having fortune!

    G. Rhinehart cares about Australia's future, it is quite evident! If we all work for $2 a day, we'll all be better off! Her massive fortune will increase but that doesn't count because that's part of her sacrifice and human quality coming to the fore!

Show me proof of your claim that Gina Rinehart wants everyone to work for $2 a day.

Isn't it funny when people proclaim to be informed about such things they continue to demonstrate they have absolutely no idea how to achieve anything? They challenge GREED by being GREEDY themselves. Certainly shows that welfare mentality of people who continue to want what others work very hard to achieve.

It's not envy that drives it, just a sense of unfairness. As for Gina - member of the Lucky Sperm Club.

When people lie to discredit others, they expose their own value as human beings. To be prepared to stoop to this level, displays a complete lack of moral fiber. The truth, as we know is, Gina Rinehart never said that she wants Australians to work for $2 a day. What she actually said, was words to the effect of "we are competing with countries whose people work for $2 a day". Anyone capable of the low act of twisting the truth in this way, has nothing to contribute, in my opinion. Gina Rinehart on the other hand, contributes massively to this country. Her work load, and the responsibility she carries, are enormous, and the country benefits from her sacrifices. I wouldn`t trade places with Gina Rinehart under any conditions.

Can`t you give her credit for the work she has done? She could have walked away from the mining industry years ago, and never had to lift a finger for life. The fact remains that she has sacrificed her life for her work, and we all benefited. When people lie about what she says, when they attempt to defame her in every nasty little way. It surely looks like envy.

I think it might be a bit strong to talk about her sacrificing her life for her work. That's the province of a lot of manual workers who work in dangerous environments, like miners and in construction. And if Gina had her way the OHSW regs we have would we dragged back into the 19th Century.

And no, not envy, just wondering when enough is enough for someone like her. Money ceases to have meaning for people like Gina, it becomes all about influence and power. The wealthy run our society, don't forget it.

That in itself is envy... No it remains funny that rather than work hard to better one’s own position, people would rather live of the back of others success to the point they make crap up about why they should be entitled to their cut of what somebody else has. Yes, just the welfare mentality that they should get their share of somebody else's hard work without lifting a finger.

Perhaps you could provide evidence of this claim to the WH&S laws and regulations???
Oh I see, you really do not know about the Gina's situation. You think she owns all the money that has been made by the trust. You really are unaware of the realities of this situation and how very easily it could be lost.

If it was simply a case of wondering when enough is enough, perhaps you should be aware the entire fortune is not the personal fortune of Gina but she is in control of the entire trust fortune, which is not entirely her own money. Yes, it is envy, Envy of the wealth, Envy of the position and total lack of understanding of the wealth brought by her investments from a trust into the Australian economy.

I`ve worked both sides of the spectrum, and I can honestly confirm that executive positions take far more out of a person, in more ways, than manual labour does. Big companies don`t run by themselves. Gina Rinehart deserves credit for the many years of work that she has done successfully. I`m not saying anyone`s perfect, but the mindset of open season bigotry, is not constructive, or in any way decent.

As I previously said, I wouldn`t swap places for Gina Rinehart under any circumstance. IMO, hers has been a wasted life, particularly if those who live off her don`t even appreciate her sacrifices. Gina Rinehart could have easily walked away years ago.

Great I have been doing it tough lately ! Thought I would have to sell the Beemer and Haines Hunter. I don't know what I would do without a third car and a back up boat. Plus I might of had to fly to Monaco in Business class. It just isn't quite the same as first class, the Moet is served in plain glass flutes, I much prefer the crystal.

Thanks Tony, I will put a couple of Million into your re election.

Anyway have to go and have lunch with Gina......... Gotta ZIP !!!
