    Ive enjoyed this station identifier for some years and was inspired to investigate it.

    I love the ABC and attribute our higher average education rate to the ABC. Overall we Aussies seem better informed than a lot of other people overseas. Except Kiwis of course but they get smart just by living next to us :D

    I know - Trump makes Abbott look good (and I just gagged on that one!)

    Heck Trump even makes old Joh Bjelke Peterson look good (yep I am that old). Trump reminds me of Joh - remember how Joh used ot talk about the press as "feeding the chooks"? Same bluster and ignorance, same shithouse rat cunning same hard core loyalists who could see no wrong in anything he did

    There was a suggestion a while ago that Tasmanian devils and dingoes should be released into Wilsons Promontory National Park, to deal with feral cats and dogs.

    Is TNR trap and release?

    Just watched the Insiders. First I've heard of this proposed naval base on Manus Island. Big departure for the isolationist trump. How did they persuade him?
    Or was it decided without him?


    Vice-President Mike Pence has announced the US will partner with Australia and Papua New Guinea to redevelop the Manus Island naval base amid rising anxiety about China's power in the region.

    Key points:
    • Mr Pence says the US will work with Australia and PNG to protect Pacific maritime routes
    • Details of America's involvement in the base are not yet known
