I simply don't think it is the job of the government to provide health care insurance for people.

That is a perfectly reasonable and defendable position to take.

The government won't buy you a new car, or a house, or a big flat screen television. Why should you expect it to buy you health insurance?

Trying to equate a flat screen TV with health insurance is just plain nuts

And I think it should be the job of government to provide healthcare to all its citizens free at the point of service

    You're right.

Everyone will get a lot of use out of a flatscreen TV. And the TV won't tempt you to get unnecessary medical care or fall into opiod abuse.

And counter to the vast majority of advanced nations and the majority in this nation.
I'll put you down as a "Darwinist" - survival of the fittest.
I hope neither you nor any of your family ever get old or develop a major illness - that will likely change your opinion.

Oh yes, the same folks that warned of the ACA!

It's nice to see people are finally taking the CBO seriously now that a republicans are in office, temporary blindness in my guess :applause:

How is it survival of the fittest. I simply made health coverage a priority when looking and taking a job, if they didn't offer the package I kept looking! What seems to be the problem today, Obarry left us with a 4.7% unemployment rate (Full employment) according to the talking heads, plus a thriving economy of 1.6%! How on Gods green earth is anyone even concerned with a Government healthcare when clearly the booming job market must be offering it as a employment package along with 401k, stock options, retirement and potential for promotion!

OR is it the Dems sold the country a bucket of lies and the only real jobs and opportunity they created were at a fry station and selling cosmetics during the holidays? Something is a little skewed, on paper everything looks hunky Dory but out there in the digs, well not so much! So as logic would dictate, either lazy people don't want all these millions of sweet ass jobs Obarry and crew have opened up for us all or reality is there are no descent jobs, no opportunity and part time and Mikky Dee's don't offer any benefit packages other thhan a ten pcs nugget lunch at half price!

Have you ever stopped to think about how many people are 24 million? It's about 1/12th of our population.

Obamacare was imploding on itself. People couldn't afford insurance anymore. It was promised to reduce premiums an average of $2500/year. Well it sure as hell didn't do that, now did it?

We can do better than this, and we can find a way to provide health care to 1/12th of the population.

I would like deregulation in our healthcare. Having 1 choice in 1000+ counties is unacceptable, too.

Trump said it well, we should do something about it now before it implodes, even if politically it may not be the best move.

It's called universal medicare, not giving tax credits to people who don't pay taxes and telling them good luck.
