The discussion is open carry. Some organization just used an extreme example with a rifle. I do not need to open carry, as I am legal to carry concealed. However, people that choice to open carry do not bother me. I am not so paranoid to be concerned with the 0.00000001% that do open carry and would use that weapon in the store.....however, if they do, I will hopefully be prepared and could at least return fire.

Well, I'm not really concerned about what others think about me or how I look to others. I would rather be thought of while alive then I would while dead.

So how do you prepare when you go to the grocery store? Have you purchased a tank? The likely hood of dying in a car accident on the way to the grocery store is much higher then the odds of dying from a car jacking leaving the grocery store.

That type of mentality makes me laugh. So he did it to change peoples perspective and now I can imagine people walking around with guns in stores because I saw it in real life. Thats ok. But if flamboyant homosexual men walk around in skimpy clothes and makeup holding hands to "change our perspective and get us used to seeing it in real life" then Conservatives throw a royal fit because we "dont want our children seeing that".

Hmmmm, do we see an issue here?

Dying in a car accident is also higher then it is to die from someone shooting up a store.

I carry a jack in my car in case I have a flat tire. I carry a first aid kit in my car in case it is needed. I carry a blanket, flashlight, and some protein bars in my car in case I become stranded. I try to drive safely and pay attention to the actions of other driver to decrease my chance of an accident. I also carry my handgun almost everywhere just in case it is needed.....but hoping it is not needed.

A tack isn't practical.....too slow and the gas mileage sucks.

No, you wouldn't be intimidated by him and I wouldn't be either, having grown up w/rifles due to my dad & brother when a country kid & my guy always had a gun on him, particularly when we'd take road trips, but that's us, but to others, especially the women and particularly children, I think he'd be a very intimidating and even scary sight....

In rural communities where there's hunting, this sight would probably be commonplace........

Now we live w/school shootings, mall shootings, drive-by shootings.... I can see where people would get nervous if they walked into Kroger's and saw Rambo clomping down the isle w/a rifle strapped to his back.

Anyway, that's my view about Rambo strolling thru Kroger's - not good.

That's not an assault rifle in the photo. That is a semi-automatic center-fired rifle.

What a reach. The guy is by no means posing a threat to anyone. Any person so presents his firearm at this guy is the one who is going to be dealing with the law. What you liberals don't or won't understand is that just simply saying you fear for your life does not make the threat real.

Just another fine example of the lefts intolerance for the rights of others. Some people need to take their whiny asses elsewhere and not try to make the world revolve around themselves

Why? I think walking around with an rifle while going about your day shows a lack of class but at this point it's clear people need more exposure to firearms. People need to learn that neither the people nor the weapons are scarey.

No issues with this at all. Personally I prefer to carry concealed but if someone is carrying in the open its no big deal to me. Open carry of an AR-15 or other long guns may be a bit extreme but so is a 700HP Dodge Challenger.

But for those who are losing control of their sphincter, Kroger does sell Adult Depends.

There is when the property owner is fine with it like it is in this case.

    - - - Updated - - -

The left has entered on their own-- I did not force or "bring" them in. I will say this -- not all on the left are gun crazy, intolerant whiners, so when I say "the left" I am only addressing the majority who are.

If a business cannot deny service to a person based on religion, then they should not be able to deny me service because I carry a firearm.

While I think open carry is silly and counter-productive, Moms Demand action are simply stupid. They cannot legislate guns out of existence, so then they are going to make day to day life with a firearm as difficult as possible. Their claim that "a good guy with a gun has never stopped a bad guy with a gun" has been demonstrably shown to be false on a daily basis.

That being said, from a tactics standpoint, open carry is stupid. You draw attention to yourself. You make yourself a target. We all have a blind spot. Blend in, fade out, conceal your firearm.

Based upon what exactly? Logically thinking, one is a tangible piece of property that has the capability to kill. The other is nonsense.

`Kroger responded by saying they respect the right of responsible individuals to carry such guns freely in their stores. `

"As such" smells like selfish Liberal written deceit and spin in the article...

`Carrying "concealed" "legally" is good...Because criminals / Thugs don't care about laws .....They know the regressives will protect them....

    *Good for Kroger...

*Wrong...! They are the same and `vote` the same.....just like the socialists / communists...they go hand in hand and agree with one another *98.2 Percent of the time....and continue to vote one another in office....*****Seen and felt daily by Americans.....

What would you expect from MSNBC. Kroger respects local laws. People around here don't carry rifles in grocery stores but do conceal carry.
