In a sense, murder and firearm confiscation are two hands of the same tyrannous evil. With one hand it kills us, and with the other it disarm us, as if to say surrender your arms and we will stop killing you.

I was just pointing that war types weapons should not be in the hands of citizens, in relation to NZ and in general.

I don't have your rights to bear these kind of weapons and believe me when I say I very happy, relieved and couldn't care less because me and countrymen do not have that right.

In was in the context of a solution to buybacks and confiscation as alternatives.

I would like to know, maybe I ll change my mind.
Maybe you include why normal people should own automatic and grenade launchers(still a gun) in a normal society.

 

Thanks for the informative post and I admit I did not think of 'entartaiment' reason.
While this is okay, it can be done in a number of ways(like clubs) without having the possibility to own those guns(not directed at US society but a general one).
You remembered me of a time when I did drive in a tank once, it was a school trip to a military base. Very fun and exciting!
I would own one but I fear for what I can do to the traffic users by mistake, or fear if everybody would have tanks.

There has been one NRA member that was IN a mass shooting, but he was the guy running barefoot to kill the attacker with his AR15, which he did.

I trained with a slr 7.62 in the RAAF. Pull trigger bang, pull trigger bang. Used in vietnam war
