    No don't think of it as that because that is not what it is. Impeachments have never been in secret and they have always weighed the evidence presented by an investigation which submitted impeachable charges such as high crimes and GROSS violations of power. The House holds it's impeachment and hears all the evidence, in public so the People can monitor and decide themselves, and votes to impeach or not. Once impeached ALWAYS impeached, that is NOT like a grand jury. The Senate has one decision and it is not whether the person committed the acts for which they were impeached. The Senate decides whether to remove the President from office for the acts for which the House impeached. If anything like a judicial proceeding it would be the sentencing hearing.

    The House should NOT be the investigative body for an impeachment. The investigation should be neutral and unbiased unaffected by politics investigation and with due process and then a referral sent to the House. The House then takes the findings of that investigation and holds hearing on them. It is not there to go and search out reasons to impeach a President.

    I support impeachment of Donald Trump for his Ukrainian actions, including the QPQ of approved military aid for investigations or just statements about investigations...

    If you have a Founding Father quote on this scenario, please post it.... that's would be newsworthy...

    Which is why Rep. Green isn't on any important committees...

    Impeachment by itself don't guarantee non re-election... Removal probably does, but even that is not a lock...

    The Democrats have run out of ammo and are on their last ditch push with closed door meetings.

    They are convinced that Trump did something somewhere at sometime. They just need to find it.

    If they don't find something fast, then this whole impeachment debacle is a goner.

    This is a one sided partisan kangeroo court, unlike Bill Clinton's impeachment. Clinton's approvals rose during that process, and it was widely seen as GOP political overreach, like this will be.

    I believe the Nobel prize winner also gets $1M, Trump isn't even taking his salary.

    There is no impeachable act in the Ukraine action, please quote where they have one for it. They made impeachment and removal extremely difficult just to avoid such political witch hunts by an opposing party because they lost an election.

    I agree that Trump put out 5 pages and said that was the "transcript". I don't agree that it actually is the actual Transcript of the phone call.

    It's not an Impeachment. It's a made up event called an "Impeachment Inquiry" that has never happened like this before in the history of our nation. It's secretive. It's partisan. It's filled with Leftist leakers trying to push a false narrative. This is a Soviet style attack on the President of the United States of America, brought to the nation by Democrats. The electorate is going to punish the Democratic party. I support this continuing, but for the sake of the nation and future Presidents they should vote on it and make it public.
