It is almost always a choice between the lesser of two evils. My Savior isn't a politician.

They admitted it, Rep. Green said they had to impeach because otherwise Trump could win.

I’m am just curious why you think words will magically appear in a citation, if you claim it’s there enough times? Nowhere in the citation you’ve provided does it state a vote is required for an inquiry. This is reality.

In addition to breaking the budget of the Palm Beach and West Palm Beach PD... he also breaks to budget of the US Coast Guard ... All this for a president who golfs, tweets and campaigns.

They mostly talked impeachment because of his unstable character versus actual policies, although family separation was certainly in the mix as an impeachable policy..

If "hundreds of thousands" of Trump supporters hit DC, I hope they all pay the bucks to stay at Trump International... he'd appreciate it... You'll have to import most of them, because DC and it's direct suburbs are not Trump friendly...

Protest all you like... it won't change one thing.... America supports it and it's fully warranted... has been since December 2018.

P.S. 80K?? LOL... Guess again....the official guesstimate was about 25K, counting those milling about outside.. Damn good turnout to watch a repetitious bum...

I am just curious how you think the House passes a bill or a resolution?

In Banana republics that is common practice. This is what the Democratic Party has devolved into.

The problem with the many obstruction actions detailed in Mueller's report is that most people don't understand them, or don't understand why Mueller didn't charge Trump or even explicitly say "he's guilty." He explains why he didn't, but most Americans have heard "total exoneration" from Trump and his pet AG too many times, and few of us bothered to actually read the report.

I agree that completely stonewalling congressional oversight by ignoring or defying subpoenas is also an impeachable offense, but again, it complicates the issue for most Americans who just want the drama to end and to carry on with their lives. Boiling it down to a single, large, blatant abuse of power is easy to grasp. Pelosi is smart.

It’s also common in every single criminal investigation.
You act like republicans didn’t have closed door testimony just a year ago!

All well said, but I cannot see they let the defying subpoenas go either... I predict 2 articles, Abuse of Power and Contempt...

I imagine Emoluments they can pass on for now...

Also remember there is nothing like double jeopardy when it comes to impeachment.... If he's not removed and more comes to light after the Senate acquittal (and hey, it's Trump!), nothing to say they cannot do this again with other articles...

Actually, it is very much like a criminal investigation.

Think of the House like a grand jury: they interview witnesses one at a time in secret. (This is why the grand jury documentation was redacted in the Mueller Report.) If they are convinced a crime has occurred, they recommend indictment ... that's the impeachment part.

The Senate then reviews and debates the Articles of Impeachement as received from the House, then vote on whether or not to remove the president from office.

The House committees must do these interviews behind closed doors. Otherwise, too many dishonest witnesses would have the opportunity to "get their stories straight." That would contaminate the process.

Schiff and the others are doing their jobs properly.

And you support impeachment of a President being used this way? Exactly what the Founding Fathers were hoping to avoid?
