Constitutional rights are bull*****? And I have no clue nor really want to know what Florida's CCW licences are today or back in the 80's
Why are you people so consumed with guns as self defense? I grew up in a urban area, have spent my entire life in an urban area, and it cracks me up how all these gun advocates are so worried that Attila the Hun is coming to their home Probability of getting hurt by a weapon goes thru the roof when you bring a weapon into your house, and the chances are much greater that if anyone uses a gun against you it will be someone you know
<Rule 3> That you think criminals are going to bother with licenses or legal gun ownership is as well. I have a right to carry a firearm. You have the right not to like it. As long as I don't do anything unlawful with my firearm, I'm not infringing on anyone elses rights. People with a concealed carry license are the most law abiding group of people in this country. Period.
I pretty much you go through life terrorized and afraid of your own shadow, black folks, minorities and all the rest, and I expect nothing of you but to condone police murder of citizens with impunity. Boo!
I am a states rights fan. But this means that states still abide the constitution. Many states need to get sued over depriving us of states rights to own our guns.
We have them for the same reason we have fire extinguishers. Why are people living with people who want to kill them?
Because they provide the best possibility for a person to defend himself with much less likelihood of being harmed while trying to do so. Do you think it would be preferable to counterattack an assailant who has a gun by brandishing a stone? How many violent criminals do you think arm themselves with a stone...?
People who are scared of firearms don't believe in self defense. These guys will curl up in the fetal position and suck their thumb in an emergency. Normally nature culls these creatures from the ranks, but 1st world countries are infested by them. If you press them long enough, they'll admit they would just comply and do whatever their attacker wanted.
The blacks had full rights to vote too about the the time of Lincolns death. but still they claimed they needed more and more rights. But they had them already. It is not the Feds that rule is on this issue, it is a few states. Most states do not step on our rights to bear arms. They take the constitution quite serious. https://www.google.com/search?q=sta...e..69i57j0.10342j0j7&sourceid=chrome&ie=UTF-8
'those communities that dont want guns around' were undermined long ago by the Constitution, not by this piece of legislation.
It never ends, no right in the constitution is absolute, why do I have to keep teaching gun advocates the Constitution, they throw it around so much you'd think somewhere down the road they would have at least attempted to understand it
Last time, NO right in the Constitution is absolute, FACT, guns can be regulated legally,, just as speech, press, assembly, etc can also be limited, forget the "stepping on our rights to bear arms" crap
Barring your neighbors from having any guns at all, insinuated by the phrase 'communities not wanting guns around' is not a regulation or a gray area or a 'reasonable restriction.' It would be a blanket ban for an entire community, pure and simple. There is no interpretation of the second amendment that would allow that.
So, this is what you are telling me. The right of the Feds is an absolute. Where is that not correct? Logically you allege rights do come from someplace. I think you mean government invents rights. But until they invent rights, we citizens have no rights. Do you realize that runs counter to the actual constitution?
We have two parties for a very simple reason. Republicans accept the constitution as the truth. Democrats argue it is not true and has magic words in it to limit freedom. This is the main reason I changed from Democrat to Republican in the late 1970's. I woke up and it hit me what democrats kept preaching to me. I wanted full freedom. not what Democrats decided i could have. i did not want Democrats to be in charge of my freedom. And I fight them to this very day.
There will be blood in the streets I tell you, BLOOD in the streets. Same refrain every time a State votes on concealed carry that or some variation of a Wild West montage.
Interesting. Why do we have these legal restrictions on free speech and how does than reasoning apply to firearms?
Out the other side of your mouth, you'll tell us gun violence is so bad, we need to further limit the rights of the law abiding. Which story is true?
If you want a gay marriage licence to be honored from state to state then you have to accept that a gun licence must be as well. And of the two, only gun ownership is guaranteed by the Constitution. So deal with it.
Remember when the reciprocity issue was used to legalize gay marriage. Sleep with dogs, get up with flees son
