Other citizens compete with citizens as well. Competition is supposedly what we Americans are about, are we all snowflakes now who must have our protected space? We have become the most prosperous and powerful entity yet existing because we recognize that our economy can always generate another job but productive citizens are a limited resource. The more people we have working productively the more taxes cant be paid and the better off we ALL are

No they're not, otherwise it wouldn't be an issue. No one is asking for no gun control. Trump supporters obsess about the border because it affects them, I doubt it affects you, to you an illegal immigrant is someone who serves your decaf latte and takes care of your kids when you're at the Hamptons.

You must remember people vote for Trump as a backlash against the excesses of the left, not essentially because they believe in him

I've never been to the Hamptons and the only Latte I've had is in cans from the discount supermarket. I never hired anybody for anything, ever. What excesses are we talking about? What has the left done that has hurt so many people so badly?

Well it appears the IRS hasn't been doing its job and we needed a special prosecutor to prove him innocent

Right-wing extremists and enemies of America (such as Pootin and Rocket Man Kim) appreciate Trump. And he too.

    That's a little worrying. :(

"The Left" is a spongy term. Some even take Liberals for Leftists.

"Left" in relation to Russia was the Communist Soviet Union. And comrade Pootin is very sad that the SU has failed.

The 1993 constitution declares Russia a democratic, federative, law-based state with a republican form of government. State power is divided among the legislative, executive, and judicial branches.

Putin has perverted and violated his Constitution at will. Is poisoning your opponents and journalists you don't like one of its powers?

I don't agree that competition is what we Americans are about, and yes, we need a protected space. Times change: jobs are exported to low wage countries and automation lay off other jobs. When productive citizens are a limited resource, the productive citizens benefit from higher wages. The larger the pool of workers the better off are the owners and worse off are the workers.

Have you not heard economic inequality is increasing? Have you not heard wages are stagnant?

We don need no stinking evidence. One wonders what it is like to be so sure of ones opinion with little to no proof other than feelings.

Jeebus, you're more liberal than me. The idea is to stop economic inequality from increasing and make wages less stagnant. You want to not only surrender to bad economics but to make our laws accommodate them.

Or maybe there's some other reason besides dubious economics you don't like immigration

Right thinking? Trump is poorly educated and has the self control of an 8 year old.

I take it you avoided reading any transcripts or listen to any testimony. That would be the ONLY way you could say what you imagine.

And how does increasing the labor force cause wages to rise? Is the law of supply and demand suddenly bad economics?

Back when labor unions were strong they were anti-immigration and pro-protectionism. Were they wrong also?
