Not really. An email when she received it may not have been classified until some time later due to the content of the email. This was all brought out in the FBI investigation.

And it is not up to her to know the classified status of an unmarked email. THATS ridiculous.

We can add Ivanka to the plot too!!! Separate rules for them I guess!!

    https://www.yahoo.com/news/ivanka-trump-used-personal-email-182059441.html
Ivanka Trump, the first daughter and adviser to the president, used a personal email address to communicate with a government official after her father took office, according to documents that the nonprofit American Oversight obtained through the Freedom of Information Act (FOIA) and shared exclusively withNewsweek.

It's OK. They're Trumps... the same rules don't apply.

I don't know what Kushner did or did not do. He has no official title and has only been connected to the White House for a few months. I know what Hillary did because her secrets have been revealed over the past 30 years.

I don't care that Hillary stored confidential informationon her private server or even that she deleted it when she knew she might be investigated. What bothers me is that people who serve our country and risk their lives in the military went to jail for less. Liberals say nothing about those people but then defend Hillary and are not disturbed by the fact the government helped keep her from going to jail instead of following the law.

Kushner used private email to conduct White House business

If this activity was important enough to thwart Hillary's chances of becoming the first American female President; plus enough for a national political party to abandon the American core value of "innocent until proven guilty" as they chanted on national TV, "Lock her up!". Now they have the President's daughter and son in law showing up as "guilty" of doing exactly the same thing. The stage is set for the Republican party and the President of the U.S. to demonstrate whether the emails were really an issue of substance or simply a convenient political ploy they could use to beat the living hell out of their political opponents. I'm betting on the latter. If I'm right, the political hypocrisy here sets a new low for America, and nothing Trump does or stands for is anything any American should be supporting. He is a political troglodyte, and along with most Republicans, an embarrassment for America at home and globally.

Uh,... yes,.... it is. She is responsible for knowing whether or not classification status is warranted. She's the captain. You are completely wrong

this is really funny....apparently Bannon and a few others also used their private emails... you'd think there's a leak at the whitehouse  Hillary's emails were likely more secure on her private server :D

You are reading it wrong. I never said that nothing ever gets reclassified. I was calling out the bullshit claim the other guy made that that was the case for all the classified material that was in Hillarys emails because she can do no wrong and it was all just an accident. that’s horseshit and you all know it. So thanks for the apology.

All of the Trump stooges are using private email accounts.

A fish rots from the head.

Can somebody please resurrect the real three stooges for White House duties. The current three stooges are making the public cry. Professionalism is sorely needed.

At Least 6 White House Advisers Used Private Email Accounts

WASHINGTON — At least six of President Trump’s closest advisers occasionally used private email addresses to discuss White House matters, current and former officials said on Monday.

The disclosures came a day after news surfaced that Jared Kushner, the president’s son-in-law and adviser, used a private email account to send or receive about 100 work-related emails during the administration’s first seven months. But Mr. Kushner was not alone. Stephen K. Bannon, the former chief White House strategist, and Reince Priebus, the former chief of staff, also occasionally used private email addresses. Other advisers, including Gary D. Cohn and Stephen Miller, sent or received at least a few emails on personal accounts, officials said.

Ivanka Trump, the president’s elder daughter, who is married to Mr. Kushner, used a private account when she acted as an unpaid adviser in the first months of the administration, Newsweek reported Monday. Administration officials acknowledged that she also occasionally did so when she formally became a White House adviser. The officials spoke on the condition of anonymity because they were not authorized to discuss the matter with reporters.

Officials are supposed to use government emails for their official duties so their conversations are available to the public and those conducting oversight. But it is not illegal for White House officials to use private email accounts as long as they forward work-related messages to their work accounts so they can be preserved.

During the 2016 presidential race, Mr. Trump repeatedly harped on Hillary Clinton’s use of a private account as secretary of state, making it a centerpiece of his campaign and using it to paint her as untrustworthy. “We must not let her take her criminal scheme into the Oval Office,” Mr. Trump said last year. His campaign rallies often boiled over with chants of “Lock her up!” ... ][/QUOTE]
