Aw, hell, don't get so worked up. Nobody is going to stop the coming war, whether it's against North Korea, or China and Iran and North Korea. I looked in my 'crystal ball' and saw the entire West Coast on fire in no more than five years from now!

See? There's a silver lining in every cloud... besides, Nikki is a babe! Anyway, why fight for 'safety' when 'sanctions' will do...? :cheerleader:

[IMG]. "C'mon, boys... use sanctions on Kimmy and then just forget about it! Wanna join me...?"

Sanctions are dependent on the US dollar. Once nations are off the dollar, then they can't be sanctioned.... this is why Saddan and Ghaddafy were killed. It's also why so many nations want an alternative. Here are a few excerpts from an article by the always informative Pepe Escobar of the Asian Times:

...Pyongyang’s sixth nuclear test, although planned way in advance, happened only three days after two nuclear-capable US B-1B strategic bombers conducted their own “test” alongside four F-35Bs and a few Japanese F-15s....

    ...It’s when President Putin starts
talking that the BRICS reveal their true bombshell. Geopolitically and geo-economically, Putin’s emphasis is on a “fair multipolar world”, and “against protectionism and new barriers in global trade.” The message is straight to the point....

...The Syria game-changer – where Beijing silently but firmly supported Moscow – had to be evoked; “It was largely thanks to the efforts of Russia and other concerned countries that conditions have been created to improve the situation in Syria.”

...Putin’s judgment is as scathing as the – RC (Russia/China)-proposed – possible solution is sound; “Putting pressure on Pyongyang to stop its nuclear missile program is misguided and futile. The region’s problems should only be settled through a direct dialogue of all the parties concerned without any preconditions.”

..."To overcome the excessive domination of the limited number of reserve currencies” is the politest way of stating what the BRICS have been discussing for years now; how to bypass the US dollar, as well as the petrodollar...

...The new triad of oil, yuan and gold is actually a win-win-win. No problem at all if energy providers prefer to be paid in physical gold instead of yuan. The key message is the US dollar being bypassed...

I believe you're right about the Dollar, Jeannette. So I fear for Venezuela:

Venezuela's Maduro says will shun U.S. dollar in favor of yuan, others

''CARACAS (Reuters) - Venezuelan President Nicolas Maduro said on Thursday his cash-strapped country would seek to “free” itself from the U.S. dollar next week, using the weakest of two official foreign exchange regimes and a basket of currencies.

Maduro was refering to Venezuela’s “DICOM” official exchange rate in which the dollar buys 3,345 bolivars, according to the central bank.

At the strongest official rate, one dollar buys just 10 bolivars, but on the black market the dollar fetches 20,193 bolivars, a spread versus the official rate that economists say has fostered corruption.

A thousand dollars of local currency bought when Maduro came to power in 2013 would now be worth $1.20.

“Venezuela is going to implement a new system of international payments and will create a basket of currencies to free us from the dollar,” Maduro said in an hours-long address to a new legislative superbody, without providing details of the new mechanism.

“If they pursue us with the dollar, we’ll use the Russian ruble, the yuan, yen, the Indian rupee, the euro,” Maduro said.''

It was not a 'civil war'. It was Communist expansionism, just as we saw during much of the Cold War. The North was being supported both by Russia and China.

Is he putting his life on the line, or does he have assurances from Russia and China that they will not allow Venezuela to be invaded?

I only know what I read in that piece. I doubt there'd be any such assurances though, so he may be about to get himself into a very tough situation...

The Soviet Union was a political system similar to the globalist one world order that Washington wants to impose on nations today through bullying, propaganda and lies. The problem with these ideologies, is that they are formed by people who consider themselves superior beings, and are indifferent to how many lives are lost so they can achieve their 'utopia'.

I believe China and Russia have investments in Venezuela. There are also other countries in S. America that hate us with a passion, so Washington might not want to rile them up.

Who knows! We will have to wait and see, but one thing is certain, Washington will not allow its hegemony to be threatened. Expect the worse.

And so then your own Civil War was about liberalist expansionism. Should have China intervened?

You have no business telling other people what to do. As an occupying force, you have no future in the far east neither.

Not superior beings but superior systems, and there is no comparison between freedom and totalitarianism. Not many people are emigrating to North Kora or China, just as it was with the old Soviet Union - and with good reason. The only propaganda involved was that Communism should be considered a serious option to democracy.

All systems appear superior until they aren't. That is the unarguable truth of governmental systems.

What democracy? Princeton University made a study and found that we're an oligarchy... and as far as I can tell, a tyrannical one since they control the propaganda networks as well.

Get used to it guys, sucks, but nuclear weapons are going to become more and more common.

    What is "American hegemony"?

The Americans only want to stop an evil, unpredictable, and irresponsible dictator from pointing nuclear missiles at New York City, Chicago, and Los Angeles.

lol, I LITERALLY almost added the caveat that an anti-American would throw that in there but thought it would be childish. Thanks for proving my point.

You created that guy. And his father. That's what a country will turn into if threatened by an overtly hostile force parked at its door for 5 generations. People kind of get easy to convince that times are dire.

And "American hegemony" is the belief that the US have a say in everything outside their own borders.

What are you talking about? NK is a product of Russia and China. All three are brothers linked by ideology, which is an abhorrent ideology to Americans.

Perchance there's no American living there, apart for 25000 jarheads acting as war tripwire.

And you are right - Israeli or Saudi ideology is a lot better, huh?

The "jarheads" are there to protect freedom-loving SK from a despotic, murdering, NK regime that starves its own people.

Have you seen the size of the conventional forces out there? that of SK, that of Japan? Your force there is a farce. If the sht hits the fan there's nothing it can do.
