He's a traitor for standing in front of the representation of something which doesn't exist anymore? Should this standard be applied to all people at all times in every situation? What, do you think he's seceretly working to empower the former confederate states or something like that? Secret klansman or something? A deep plot to raise the South again? How's he a traitor without believing there's more to the image than what's actually there?

You see the flag, you get triggered, you say the things.

Then you must have the same disdain for anyone who flies the British flag. Do you? Answer the question with the emotional baggage if you can.

    What the SCV stands for:

    http://www.scv.org/new/

    Clearly it is treason.

No surprise that forum Republicans love that group and defend traitor McConnell for being honored by it.

Yes I would say that too if I couldn't argue it.

History and facts do not support that in any way shape or form. If that was the primary reason why would they leave when states were already ratifying the Corwin amendment that would guarantee they kept slavery the south?

Try thinking then answering the question.

Once again you have no clue on the history and I've proven it.

The Confederate states broke from the Union because they didn't want to live under a overbearing central government that was going against the Constitution.

    THAT'S what they stood for.

British flag is of no consequence here.

We are talking about the flag of treason and those who honor it like you do.

Keep running from the history and the questions posed to you. Its common for people who value emotion over facts.

Sorry, but I've actually done my homework on this, unlike Confederate apologists. The primary reason they secceeded was over slavery. History is on my side on this one, sorry.

Unless you actually listen to what they themselves had to say about their exit. Whoops. He'll, if you actually do your history homework you'll find they even called themselves "the slaveholding states." This was the foremost "right" they were fighting for.

No, I'm referring to history contra the historical revisionism of Confederate apologists. If you actually take the time to read the Confederates in their own words, you'll find slavery was their primary concern. There is a reason they called themselves "the slaveholding states." I'm sorry if historical facts are inconvenient for your political biases, but they remain historical facts.

Okay, I read it... much ado about nothing. The South isn't rising again, the Confederate lingers only in a cultural sense.

Got nothing . . . except history on my side. Read the articles of secession, or the Cornerstone Speech, etc. The biggest cure for Confederate apologism is historical literacy.

Actually, all Confederate Soldiers were granted a presidential pardon so they actually aren't traitors even if they were at considered so at one point.

If you had done the homework on history as you laughably claimed you could have answered my question. But you couldn't so you ran from it.

Your personal claims you know history go up in smoke when you run away from actual questions on history.

Instead you falsely label me when my father's family was in Pennsylvania during the Civil War.

But don't let the facts get in the way of ignorance.
