President Trump and his tax returns.

Discussion in 'Opinion POLLS' started by Moriah, Apr 7, 2019.

?

Show the returns?

  1. It should be mandatory for Trump to show his tax returns.

  2. It should be voluntary for Trump to show his tax returns.

  3. I don't care one way or the other.

Why do you believe that will show up in tax returns, which the IRS audits for compliance, rather than in the financial disclosure forms candidates and Presidents have to file? What is it in the tax return for which you are looking?

OK, say some faction that is hostile to YOU, and wants to claw YOUR guts out with gardening tools decides to DEMAND to pore over YOUR personal, private tax returns. What exactly would your opinion be of THAT?

Now, let's say that on top of everything else, you are willing to do even that, but your taxes are in the process of BEING AUDITED by the IRS. Could you possibly be STOOPID enough to throw your tax information out for anybody else to look at while you are being AUDITED?! Nobody in the world is THAT stupid....

What a pantload of crap! Trump has piled even MORE sanctions on Russia's back than existed on the final day of the Obama regime!

You like fawning? How about this nauseating example in 2012 when Obama was kissing Russian president, Medvedev's ass, asking him to tell his boss, Putin, that he (Obama) would have much more flexibility after the upcoming election. Did you forget THAT?!

Trump's tax returns are between him and the IRS. Anyone who claims more than that is of a fishing expedition.

Obama did not spy on Trump. How can you claim such a thing. The intelligence community were keeping track of Russian agents. As those agents began meeting with people in the Trump campaign, and as they were already under surveillance, it turned out that the surveillance was done during those meetings. Obama didn't order it, and it wasn't spying. It was part of the normal surveillance of Russians agents by the US intelligence community. Putin never gave Clinton any money, how ludicrous. He wanted Trump elected.

Of course he did. Obama did spy on Trump, that is not even debatable. The real issue, is whether or not it was legal or not. Bill Barr will be looking into this and he will find that the spying was done illegally.

The biggest problem is that the Clinton campaign paid to have a fake dossier made abd the fbi knowing it was fake used it to get a warrant to spy on the Trump Campaign.
Couple that with fbi agents who did not investigate Clinton and investigated the hell out of trump this is quite troubling especially after Obama's irs targetted conservatives.
I'll say it again 93% of voters ftom the district of Columbia voted for Clinton. Essentially everyone working in a government agency is anti Trump and that's problematic at best. If i were trump I'd fire everyone. They are using their positions to push agendas not serve the public.

It is definitely debatable. The Justice Department and the FBI did legal surveillance of Russian agents who were colluding with the Trump campaign. Obama did not control either institution. The surveillance was required because Russian agents were involved in the Trump campaign. It's all documented. The FBI was granted a FISA court warrant in October 2016, giving counter-intelligence permission to examine the activities of ‘U.S. persons’ in Donald Trump’s campaign with ties to Russia. Russia is not an ally. It is an enemy, which is confirmed by their interference in our 2016 election: a fact confirmed by all of our intelligence agencies. James Comey, a Republican, was the director of the FBI during that time, and he virtually gave the election to Trump by announcing, 10 days before the election, that the investigation into Clinton's emails had been reopened. Surveillance by our intelligence and law enforcement agencies is not spying.

There is very good reason why 93% of the people working in the government are anti-Trump. (And remember at least half of them are Republicans.) They see what a crook and incompetent he is.

Except of course - there is no such commandment. And because it irks you so much, we don't even care if he never shows them. It would ruin our fun watching you hyperventilate about it.

Strictly speaking it may not be collusion in a legal sense, but he bent over backwards to be nice to Putin, deferring to him over our own intelligence agencies. Why has he been so consumed with worry about the investigation and now about congressional hearings into his obstruction of justice and his finances? He's a crook, bottom line. He isn't doing what is best for America, only what is best for Trump.

    Lets put thing in context.

The whole investigation and the Democrats rallying cry was that Trump won the election by trying to work with the Russians to skew the vote.
That was procen to be false. Trump won the election fair and square. End of story.
Yes he's a scumbag, we knew that long before ran for office. Yes he is a loyd mouth idiot on Twitter. He says some really dumb stuff. His policies however are right on.
Mostly anyway , far better policies thannwe have had in a long time.

Your post almost sounds like you believe the President is involved in shady dealings? Every year Trump summits his taxes to the IRS. Every year the IRS overlooks his tax returns and looks for discrepancy's or red flags. Trump pays lawyers and accountant firms who are financial experts or very knowledgeable in tax law. It is the fiduciary responsibility of the firms to summit an accurate return as possible. They are not going to willfully break the law for Trump or anyone knowing their firm or themselves can be held responsible and reputation be destroyed if they do.

So what could be the purpose of looking at his return? He didn't donate enough to charity? Not against the law. He didn't pay any taxes? That's what accountants are hired for. The good ones find as many lawful loop holes as they can. He did business in Russia? Not unlawful if reported. The Clintons and many others have had dealings with Russians. If Trump has been audited and was denied certain items for deductions I am sure he paid the penalty. If the IRS found his tax returns were fraudulent they can go back ten years and even charge him with a crime. I'm sure you consider your tax returns your business and no-one else's.

Yes, I do consider my tax returns my business and nobody else's. I am NOT the President.
Why has every President in recent history made their taxes public, yet Trump can 't make his public?

The same reason he didn't raise his hand if asked would he support the winner of the primaries in 2014. He is his own person. The one thing that most of his supporters like about him. If it is a burr under the Democrats saddle, so be it.

"If it is a burr under the Democrat's saddle, so be it". OK. Then you can expect the Democrats to continue making their concerns known. Thank you. :)

They really never talk much about issues do they? Trump seems to be the only issue I hear out of them. What policy issues do you have with Trump?

Speaking for myself, I only have one issue with him :
He is not fit to be President.
