I just happened to be looking at rare old photos and saw these. But to me it feels like we slid back in time 60 years. On the other hand, Alvin Toffler's book, The Third Wave, often comes to mind. Then again, 1984 comes to mind a lot more often.

Trivia: Why did he decide on the year 1984 [Nineteen Eighty-Four], and not some other year? It was written in 1948.

The new names all seem a bit IDK, not so much childish, but... Well.... Fruity.


When I'd visited a few buds of mine in Colorado, I was amused, @ some of the brand names for the products. It was like the High Times section that featured reader brand labeling.

Didn't see any Muy Blastido, or Stoned Again brands though..... May have to branch out...

 

In my day, It was Thai, Hawaiian, Columbian, and Mexican, and we bought it from dangerous criminals, and we liked it that way dammit!
