Lastly, I usually ask for outside the more independent the better sources to validate claims constructed of hearsay. We may be in the 21st century but the way I see it the early 1800's were a much better and more secure world than today's suckling technologically dependent globe squatters (that would be we, hee hee) where an interruption or *** !!! gasp !!! ***.... a cutting of the umbilical cord that supplies energy, goods, and fuel to the earths human dependents will cause the entire thing to fall faster than the Nero could ever imagine. I think youtube is a great source for things because it contains actual footage of events rather than someone's opinion on the event. Although there are also not very good parts about youtube.

I think wiki is a good start for information but it shouldn't be your only source of information on a topic.

As someone who had three premies I can say it is what some parents do and as the Santorum's stated his wife being a Neo-Natal nurse along with her hospital did advise parents to have closure and spend the necessary time to do along with making sure the siblings knew of their brother or sister and had their own closures.

 

Why? Home visitations and wakes are not new and better for the children in home environment rather than a stale hospital in their mind.

Everyone seems to forget Karen is a trained medical professional having dealt with these situations on a regular basis.

 

The left has no respect for life especially that of babies.

 

Santorum is a disturbing person on many different levels. Luckily, he will never become president.

 

We respect life so much we support NOT sending our (poor) kids off to die in wars of convenience.

But not the life taken and the justice that person deserves, a life that purposely and with malice takes another life deserves no respect.

WASHINGTON (AP) — Two out-of-state doctors who traveled to Maryland to perform late-term abortions have been arrested and charged with multiple counts of murder under the state's viable fetus law, authorities said.

Dr. Steven Brigham, of Voorhees, N.J., was taken into custody Wednesday night and is being held in the Camden County jail, according to police in Elkton, Md. Authorities also arrested Dr. Nicola Riley in Salt Lake City and she is in jail in Utah. Each is awaiting an extradition hearing.

The two doctors were indicted by a grand jury after a 16-month investigation, police said.

The investigation began in August 2010 after a botched procedure at Brigham's Elkton clinic. An 18-year-old woman who was 21 weeks pregnant had her uterus ruptured and her bowel injured, and rather than call 911, Brigham and Riley drove her to a nearby hospital, where both were uncooperative and Brigham refused to give his name, authorities said.

A search of the clinic after the botched abortion revealed a freezer with 35 late-term fetuses inside, including one believed to have been aborted at 36 weeks, authorities said.

Brigham, 55, is charged with five counts of first-degree murder, five counts of second-degree murder and one count of conspiracy. Riley, 46, faces one count each of first- and second-degree murder and one conspiracy count.

The procedure authorities say was botched resulted in the murder case against Riley and three of the 11 murder charges against Brigham, prosecutors told the Cecil Whig in Elkton, Md. The other charges against Brigham relate to four other illegal abortions he performed there, prosecutors added.

a wee bit creepy if you ask me...it used to be normal for people lay in their own home for a wake but they normally died in their home in those days, 3 of 4 of my grandparents did this...but now-a-days we don't even keep them at home when they die there and we certainly don't bring the dead home from the hospital...

 

It is not something I would do.

But, I would not stand in judgement of a person that had just lost a baby.

I think it is disgusting for anyone to use something of this nature to further their personal political agenda.
