God has given us the Bible to evaluate our beliefs. . . . I strongly recommend Matthew, Mark, Luke, and John in a Bible highlighting Jesus' own words in red letters.
Don't have to change color, just dress, talk, and check black; you'll be as white as Michael Lomax, and safe if you learn the lingo, let's practice, repeat what Lomax said, "This is a conservative part of the country, a lot of the mythology of free enterprise." Say words like Social and Economic justice, complain that the bus didn't pick you up and take you where you want to go because they don't have environmental justice... Being a stealth negro has to be better than a collar.
As hot as wearing a collar sounds, there is virtually no democrats who hates white people (most democrats are white), or want to ban Christianity (most democrats are Christian), or favors Nazi-style prison camps for anyone. So you don't need to wear a collar, but if you really want to wear a collar you are of course free to do so.
The only wisdom I gained from the experience is that it’s a fools game to follow a religion that disagrees with who you are as a person and condemns you for what makes you happy.
My local mall has a Christian bookstore. They sell Bibles there and sometimes they give them away. There are always people there who have Bibles and some are usually talking. Conversations can be lively, but they are seldom rancorous, It's really a very pleasant place. I know "lotta love"is a cliche but that's what they got. I think what you are feeling is a reflection of your own hatred and fear. Let go of the hatred, which is obvious in all your posts here, and have faith in your god, that will take care of the fear. God is love. If you are a Christian and you feel you are hated for being one then your duty and obligation is clear. Love your persecutors, it's what Jesus would do. "Blessed are they which are persecuted. for righteousness' sake: for. theirs is the kingdom of heaven."
I can't and never will relate to the plight of African Americans. I would not insult them by pretending to understand what they have gone through.
Haha! Your name isn’t Tambria, is it? You sound just like my mother. God will only love you if you’re the right person. Bastard didn’t deserve me from the get go.
Yes it is our duty to try and we will always fail. That is kind of the reason He had to give His life for me.
Most Dems are family loving Christians especially Hispanic Americans. To think otherwise is blindly buying into Republican Rhetoric........
Failure to emulate Him is an indication of YOUR failure to allow Him to take control of your life. He didn't give His life for you to enable you to continue sinning without consequence, but to encourage you to strive to do better with His help. Remorse for misdeeds is important, but not as desirable as conforming to His will.
I am glad you have achieved a Christ like state. Most of us haven't. We still sin. Tell me Lord Thinkitout, in all your glory could you point out what I am doing wrong?
It would be best if you left the country. You won't be marked for camp, you are not gay, and it's the christians who'd send you to camp if you were.
If you say so. Honestly though, I'm ambivalent to most speakers on campus whether they are Christian or not so I'm not sure how much my view on this is helpful.
Awfully hard for something that doesn’t exist to listen. Funny, for the past 20 years there has been a religious fanatic who pushes his message outside Fenway Park before every home game. I have yet to see him get hateful stares. Yet to hear anyone call him a bigot. Yet to see anyone spit on him, etc, etc. I mean, you would think with Boston being as liberal as it is SURELY he should have experienced the same scorn you have received by those awful liberals, no???
Like an atheist would be at a religious school? Why not go to a christian college? Why would you be ridiculed? My guess is you are not the only christian on campus.
