    Illegally crossing the US border in itself is a misdemeanor. We don't shoot people for committing misdemeanors....I'm 100% in favor of massive border security and a massive improvement in dealing with our illegal immigration problem, but It's sort of unnerving that a couple of people have voted yes to this..

    Start with minimal force and hope for good results. Ramp it up as necessary with escalating force until good results are obtained.

    You do know that there are laws against using lethal force against unarmed people right? Attempting to cross the border illegally does not constitute the use of lethal force under any law from local to international human rights....

    I don't like unobstructed illegal immigration either but we can't exactly advocate we just give the entire world the middle finger and start shooting at people for it.

    We aren't the DPRK...

    I'm pretty sure they'd shoot you for trying to sneak in there as well....For some crazy reason there are actually people who try to do that.

    Not on the border no, not unless they are posing a threat. An actual threat mind you not a "threat to our way of life or economic stability" or anything like that.

    I wasn't saying it's right I was just saying it is actually legal to do that In some places with some pretty vague restrictions.

    In order for what you said to be true then the folks coming across our border would have to have been sent directly from the government of their home nations with the intent to cripple our society.

    They aren't government sanctioned caravans being put together and sent to "attack" the US. They are migrants whose own nations suck and they went to get out of there.

    If I sneak across the border into Canada then that isn't an act of war by the US against Canada. If the US government orders me to sneak across the border into Canada then that's a different story.
