Have you ever noticed, most cats can move around on the bed and you barely feel them tiptoe around... until they want you up, and then they walk across you weighing 50 pounds with each step....

This afternoon when I took a nap Bun Bun jumped on the bed and started pushing her head in my hand wanting attention. After a minute or two she left. This cat is taller in the back than the front. Her tail is about 1 1/2 inches long and she can jump! She is also a sweetheart. 0716181707.jpg

Wind sprints in the pool today. Something interesting, they say you should never do HIIT for more than 30 minutes straight because you start burning muscle. Today, right at the 30 minute mark, I got a runner's high. I was really tempted to keep pushing but then remembered my new rule: THAT is when you stop. When you feel the runner's high, that is when you injure yourself. And sure enough, it was right at the 30 minute mark. I didn't even know how long it had been until I checked.

It makes me wonder if the runner's high is directly connected to some transition in chemistry when you start burning muscle quickly

Edit: Damn! An hour and a half later I'm still high. I wonder what Nancy Reagan would say...

Yeah my Mocha Bean is a Siamese Manx.....her tail is about an inch and half long. She had 5 kittens and had 2 Manxs no tails. A Tortishell and a Domestic Shorthair. That looks like its father.(Black and White) She also had 2 full Siamese with tails which I managed to find homes for them. Then a White Kitten with patches of Beige, blue eyes, and a normal tail. Naturally I went with Patches. All were Born with blue eyes. But Torty/Aka Snickers and the Male Domestic Short hair I named him Lil Mech(After its father Mech).....lost their Blue Eyes. Lil Mech isn't so little and weighs close to 25 lbs. No fat all muscle.

Hard to believe they are all Siamese.

My baby is a Calico-tortishell. Ginger is her name. But I call her baby. Couldn't find homes for the others. So I ended up keeping them all. All are close to me. Baby very close.

    Pimping?

I have two, well, actually one and three-quarters. Hoover tore all the ligaments in one of his back legs, vet didn't think it would be salvageable even with surgery, so we did what we had to. Einstein has been going back and forth to the vet over the past couple months, with several different issues. I think we've laid out a total of about $1500.

But, they are my boys, and for me, it's worth the investment. They purr......

No cats for me although I've had em in the past. Dealing with 3 aged dogs right now. 1 is blind and deaf, 1 is partially blind, the other is anti-social. 1 is 18 yrs old, the other 2 are 16. All over 100 in human yrs.

Still get around well enough to find their food & water... indoor dog still goes outside to poop. As long as theyre functioning, I won't put them down. Hopefully my caretakers will return the favor someday. :)

Dogs have to have a lot of tender loving care to live that long.
You have some very lucky dogs.

Picked peas..green beans...watermelon...tomatoes...etc. this morning....also seperated and planted red hot poker flowers. People have been stopping by the house asking about the red hot pokers. Some even want me to dig them up and sell them. Coneflowers are next...got several colors.

Neighbor planted the Red Hot Pokers.... you do know they spread, right? Not my flavor, too short a 'bloom' season, and after they just sorta look dead.

The cone flowers, however...… what colors do you have? Most of mine are the standard pink/purple color. Have tried several of the hybrids through the years, but they don't make it through winter. More than happy to take some off your hands....

When it comes to mercy killing veterinarians are the experts.
When you want lots of pain and suffering you need an MD.
