(the above items of gear are for encounters with motorcycle gangs)

- holster & gun belt
- mag pouch and 2 extra mags
- belt keepers

(the above items are mostly for redneck mountain hillbillies who think they are faster on the draw than I am)

- asp expandable baton
- Oleoresin Capsicum pepper spray

(the above items are primarily for aggressive pugnacious homeless people who want to fight and then go to a jail with a warm cot and hot shower and free meal)

- HID flashlight
- pocket notebook
- 2 ink pens

(standard equipment for investigations of crimes and break-in's)

- black boonie hat
- bug net
- lite gloves
- mosquito repellent

(mosquitoes kill more humans than any other animal on Earth does besides other humans)

- uniform
- boots

(tells the world you are on duty and they better obey the law and the rules, for now at least)

- ice chest with food and drinks

(self contained)

- bino's

(for scanning the outpost area at night).

I’m not putting on a plate carrier for under $100K yr that’s for sure.

 

I spent an hour or so talking with a lovely young lady who is in her 14th year in the army. I was telling her how in Boy Scouts we actually had old C Rations from the Korean war, that we used for camping. And we were comparing notes on C-Rations vs MREs, which she said are pretty good. But she said now they just call Uber Eats.

So I told her about the new Uber Eats tank they use for delivering meals to soldiers in war zones...

She is in a committed relationship. Too bad! We has some great chemistry going. Pretty hot black chick. We ended up talking about sex a lot too. If she was single I would have definitely put the moves on her. We actually got a little hot talking. And I could tell it wasn't just me! She was laughing a lot after a time. Oh well, It was fun.

You grew them from seed? I've not had luck with that for coneflowers. I do a lot of veggies, flowers and herbs from seed, but some just stick their proverbial tongues out at me and laugh.....

 

Good morning! Happy humpday! Celebrating my new parking spot in the bldg garage. No more parking down the street and getting into a hot car to drive home! Lets hear it for overpriced parking garages!

 

Well when a biker gang leader tells you that he is going to kill you, then your whole perspective changes.

I got my plate carrier the next day at an Army/Navy G/I surplus store for $75. It is black and looks very good.

The plates cost $125 each. I got 4 of them, 2 for the front and 2 for the rear. Now it will stop even a 308 caliber rifle shot 100 times.

It feels like a sweater vest to wear it -- very comfortable and somewhat warm. But overall not bad.

 

For breakfast/supper:

- leftover homemade chicken noodle vegie soup

- 1 shot of gin.

 

What do you have over the plates?

 

The plates go inside the plate carrier. That's why its called a carrier. It is a standard G/I issue carrier but in black not desert sage or O/D green.

 

I know what a plate carrier is, I’m just wondering what covering/coating do you have over the steel

 

Uhm…..you didn't forget my requirement for a driver, did ya Sugah?

 

The innermost steel plate is flat steel with a thin tar-like coating.

The outermost plate is ballistic material designed to "catch" the bullet.

Now I think I understand the alcohol with every meal.....

 

Booze helps you to relax and also helps the digestion.

And it is uncivilized to eat without drinking a glass of wine with it.

 

So I guess I'm uncivilized. Gardening is my 'relaxation', and I can eat the results of it too!

Nothing against alcohol, just not worth it the next day anymore. There was a time, a few decades ago.....

 

One or two ounces of ethyl alcohol is not going to be noticed the next day.

Only your arteries notice it because it cleans them out.

But there are lots of people that cannot quit drinking once they have started. That is a different story.
