Damn! Ed Mitchell died. I hadn't heard.

Former Navy pilot, an Sc.D. out of MIT [a higher honor than a Ph.D] and one of the original astronauts who walked on the moon... I corresponded with him for a time. He was a great resource! I really hate to see he is gone. :(

He once told me that he knows someone who has seen a live alien [ET].

Im honestly starting to believe there are aliens among us.
Not only can they morph into your next door neighbors and family, but they can also morph into you and you wouldn't know it. Aside from a small mole strategically placed in between your butt cheeks that only you could see. Its invisible to others so don't ask them to check your butt crack for moles.
    lol

Rest in peace Mr. Mitchell. Very cool you got to stand on the moon. Now dance among the stars.

His trip back from the moon changed his life.

I was once telling a family member about Mitchell, and of course they assumed Mitchell was some crackpot and a nobody. Then I pointed out that they lived right next to Ed Mitchell Park. LOL!

He may have had some outside the norm ideas and opinions but you have to give credit where its due. He walked on the moon. Not very many people have accomplish that in a lifetime.
It had to take an enormous amount of self determination as well as intellect.
Its cool you had an opportunity to speak with him.

He was also highly connected with intelligence and military experts. He was a very serious guy.

I contacted his organization to ask about statements allegedly made by Mitchell. He ended up giving me his personal email so we could talk. And it was fascinating to listen to his insights about UFOs, But it was also cool to talk with someone who had gone to the moon and to hear firsthand what it was like being there.

If you don't mind sharing what he said, how did he describe his experience on the moon?

You don't know what they know. But the biggest UFO buffs are former military and intelligence people. They were the original UFO nuts. And they were because of what they saw.

There was a scientific paper published that points out that UFOs could be robotic probes. Even if we have encountered alien probes, it doesn't mean that aliens were piloting them.

Inflation Theory Implications for Extraterrestrial Visitations.
    https://www.researchgate.net/profil...rial-Visitation.pdf?origin=publication_detail

It was published in JBIS - a highly respected scientific journal. They also argue that it makes sense to look for alien probes. Inflation Theory and its implications opens the door to possibilities for visitations.

I was once talking with my father-in-law about UFOs. And of course he was looking at me like I'm from Mars. His brother, former commander of Camp Pendleton and a Vietnam vet, chimed in and said, he too was a believer. They had encounters in Nam. My father-in-law idolized his older brother and almost fell off his chair. He couldn't have been more visibly shocked. After that his brother and I got to be good buddies. He was fascinated to learn that so much information was available from declassified documents.

What was most striking was his description of the trip back. He said he was overcome with a sense being connected to the cosmos. Something about being in empty space seems to open your mind to influences we don't experience on earth. It led him to a metaphysical view of things. It was a profound experience and changed him forever.

Being on the moon was pure surrealism. He knew he was there but it all seemed like a dream. To look at the blue marble in the sky and imagine that all of human history occurred on that little marble was hard to grasp. Suddenly the earth seemed very small.

Its amazing to think walking on the moon is something so dynamic and dramatic, then and still now. You just know in the future, space exploration and colonization will be a ho hum, no big deal subject, in a spacebar.

I saw something once but have no idea what it was. We were driving and had just turned onto the main highway - this was in a fairly remote area in Northern California. We saw a light moving oddly off in the distance. I don't know what caught our attention but something was odd. So we pulled over and watched. Suddenly it turned and started coming right at us. We got out of the truck and watch as it approached and passed over us - very low and very slowly. It made no sounds. I was never able to make out any logical configuration. It was shaped like an eye but I could see stars through the middle of it. After it passed, it turned about 45 degrees and headed off to the South East. That was the only time I could even make out a definitive outline of the craft.

Years later I decided to file a report with the National Reporting Center. I had no idea what we saw but it was very strange. Turned out two cops saw it and had already filed a report. They were located just to the West of where we saw it.

My friend and I never discussed it until years later. I connected with him and asked if he remembered it. Hell yes! he exclaimed. It was certainly memorable. But that night we never discussed it and never did until years later.

My only guess is that we saw a secret stealth blimp. But by now that should be public information. That was over 30 years ago.

depends if their is another space race, the last one was because of the cold war.

it was stopped because star wars would have triggered world war 3. space exploration will only happen in the event of nuclear war.
